Rating: Summary: Not that good Review: This book was not all the reviewers hyped it up to be. I was disappointed by the lack of plot, poor character development, and trite storyline. It basically seems to serve as an over-sexed book for teenagers to read. The characters fall in love and then, 3/4 of the way through the book, fall out of love. Big deal. They're teenagers. The reader is given no reason to feel particularly bad, and it just seems like you spent all this time reading and then they just break up. Yes, it may be "exciting," if you get the picture, but I think it is only written because Blume knows that horny teens are going to read it. It's supposed to be her first adult book, but adults would be bored by it. It's obviously just tagged as that so that thirteen year-olds can feel naughty reading about Katherine's sexploits. Blume was so great with Superfudge and Blubber and the like, but I think she should stick to kids' books. I fear that if any mother reads this book, she will not let her children read Blume's kids' books. That will be a true loss. Go back and read Superfudge, it's a lot more entertaining than this book. I read it in an evening, however, because the plot was so thin that I could skip pages and pages and not miss much...
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down! Review: This is a very good book about a young woman who thinks she finds true love. And she did, or she thought. She had fallen in love with the guy of her dreams, but, when they are separated for the summer, she meets another guy. What will happen? Will she stand by the man she loves? Or, the man that she lusts? Read and find out!
Rating: Summary: READ IT!!! Review: It was a great book. Even though some parts could be inappropriate for children who have not yet matured, it is still one of the best books i've ever read. I don't, however like that cover with the bed on it. It's weird. And for the lady who gave it one star and thought it was perverted: Why did she read it if she clearly didn't like it from the beginning?

Rating: Summary: Forever is the story of two young peoples' first loves. Review: My friend gave me a copy of Forever in 10th grade and I thought 'oh God, Judy Blume! This is gonna be a waste of my time!' I was wrong. Forever is one of the best books I've ever read and I'm glad I took the time to read it. It's kind of perverted though-I got in trouble for reading the Ralph scene in my organic chemistry class.

Rating: Summary: Good book to give to a pre-teen Review: The author wrote this story in a way that relates to most teenagers nowadays, that is, how they meet the opposite sex, like each other and eventually become boyfriends and girlfriends. It's just so much like us! I've been reading Judy Blume's books since young and believe me, this is the first book that taught me sex-ed!!!
Rating: Summary: short and sweet Review: A reader from Sydney, Australia 19/5/98 I have just recently read this book by Judy Blume and I loved it. It contains some very hardcore facts about teenage relationships. It is a wonderful book and I thouroughly enjoyed reading it.
Rating: Summary: Fumbling towards ecstasy... Review: Popular teen write Judy Blume continues to touch the untouchable and embrace the unacceptable. With this novel about a budding teen sexual relationship, she ignores the societal taboos and approaches it with her usual, off-handed style and ease. This book traces the relationship of Katherine and Michael, two charming teens, from the first date to the inevitable break up. The book deals frankly with the taboo topic, at times treating it a little too casually. The sex scenes are almost comic in their realism (no stereotypical loss-of-virginity scenes here) and definitely exciting. As everyone knows, first love is usually first "exploration." Blume's book is a cute snapshot of teen romance, truly applicable to the 90's Generation X. However, often times the plotline seemed a little unrealistic (who really asks their mother if she was a virgin when she got married?) and the romance scenes seemed more of a turn-on than relevant to the story. A book to be shared by couples everywhere, and singles too. OVERVIEW: Charming, sexual, a little unrealistic, defiant. A good read, not necessarily a must read.
Rating: Summary: By Far My Favorite Forever and Ever! Review: I was a Judy fan when I picked up this book in the young adults section at my library. I was a little young and it may have been a mistake, however I just couldn't put it down and had to finish it. Even at a young age this book really hits home...it takes a lot to make me cry and I did. My parents really had no idea the content of the book I was reading, but being mature fore the unexpected storyline was not difficult. I've re-read this book...it gets better every time. I'd highly recommend it as it has become a favorite...very truthful and worth the money. It's very explainatory...everyone should read it.
