Summary: Love Doesn't Care...
Review: When I was fourteen and realizing that the boys in my high school didn't do anything for me, there were no books like 'Annie On My Mind' to tell me it was all right. The first time I found this book I was already twenty-one: I read it five times within the week. A beautiful, painfully honest story, it should be required reading for everyone who questions someone else's love: love doesn't care about gender or colour or religion. Love just is.

Summary: this book saved my life
Review: I read this book when I was first coming to terms with my "identity" and it really helped me get through. A wonderfully real story, Liza and Annie are permenantly part of me.

Summary: Poignant and Beautiful Love Story
Review: I just finished reading this book for an adolescent literature class I am taking at college. I could not put this book down! Garden does a wonderful job of examining the emotions of Liza. She writes with such honesty, and the reader connects with the characters. I wished that she dealt more with the issue surrounding the dismissal of the two teachers; Garden portrays them as being resigned to the fact they lost their jobs. I wanted them to fight back! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great story!

Summary: Great Book
Review: I read this book when I was thirteen and even though there were parts of it that I didn't get until now, I enjoyed it very much. I wanted to comment on what somebody said about Berkley, Calfifornia. It makes more sense that Annie went there if you realize that Berkley is often referred to as the "Lesbian capital" of the US. I think the author sent Annie there because it was her way of saying that Annie didn't let the cruelty of others keep her from being herself.

Summary: Honest & Passionate Love Story
Review: The book speaks for itself. The two young woman in this book are intelligent, passionate, and energetic. Their love is as pure as water and as beautiful as a single red rose.Garden poignantly intertwines a love story and the lesson that the truth will set you free. A book that can be kept always and read over and over again.

Summary: One of the greatest love stories of all time
Review: I really loved this book, and I couldn't put it down. This book is one of the only gay books I have ever seen in the Young Adult section at the bookstore. I am not gay myself but I still related to the characters in terms of guys. I really feel the trouble Liza feels when she find out she loves Annie. I recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: First book that I ever really loved and understood
Review: This book was the first book that ever seemed just plain right to me. Every day it seems I think back to this book, even though I read it two years ago. That was when I was thirteen. Even now it makes sense and comforts me every time I think of it. I got my mom to read it once, she didn't get it the way that I did. But I shouldn't think she would. That is all I can say about this book because the rest is just indescribable. You have to read it to understand it, you can't just hear about it you have to read it. SO READ IT ALREADY!

Review: ...one of the most beautiful love stories ever told

Summary: A beautiful book!
Review: I was first attracted to this book because of the picture on the cover. On a whim, I bought it, and couldn't put it down. This was the first book by Nancy Garden that I had read, and it was absolutely wonderful! She writes about a subject that makes many people uncomfortable with ease, and it is obvious that it means a lot to her. The result is a wonderful love story about to young women that touches the heart of the reader. Please read this book!

Summary: This is a sensitive, fantastic book.
Review: This was the first lesbian fiction I ever got a hold of, and as a thirteen-ish year old it impressed me with its accuracy and beauty as much as it does today.
