Summary: Cay Review # 258
Review: I really enjoyed this book. While many see it as the story of a boy who overcomes prejudice, I see it more as an adventure novel. The novel is set during World War II, so war (especially submarine warfare) is involved as are shipwrecks and the struggle to survive on a desolate island. The characters are well-developed and the author avoids including events for the sake of plot convenience. It's a short read and well worth it. Highly recommended.

Summary: Pointless, poorly written, and drawn out over 144 pages...
Review: I didnt really like this book, I read it in 3 days .... The book wasted so much time. They spend 3 or so chapters on a raft, so much wasted time. The final setting for the book lasted probably 11 chapters and it was spent mostly describing. BORING.

Taylor's world is filled with exciting adventures. You feel like you are on the cay while reading this book by Theodore Taylor. You think you can see the characters. The details in this book are amazing and one of the key factors why you'll enjoy this book. Every child ages 8-14 should read this book.
This book is about a raciest boy from Virginia who gets washed up in the middle of the Caribbean with a big black man named Timothy. They are stuck surrouned by coral reefs on a little cay and to top it off, in the middle of WW11

Summary: Intresting...
Review: I read the book twice (by force) but I liked it anyways. I caught on quickly why Timothy called Phillip "young bahss" in the begining of the story. This story is about more than one boy being lost at sea, it is about a boy crossing racial boundaries, forming a friendship, and surviving when the odds were against him.
This kid, 11 years old,... doing and induring things i could not imagine. A hurricane, lost on a abandoned tiny island, a shipreck, the death of a companion and friend, and worst of all: being blind...alone. All that in a nutshell you have The Cay a gripping and powerfull book; but I must say that if the book get boring which it will, make a commiment and keep reading it wil pay off in the end.

by a mindless 6th grader,...

Summary: The Cay
Review: The Cay was written by Theodore Taylor it was a book I couldn't stop
reading because it was so cool. Phillip was one of the main characters.. Timothy was a big black man. Phillip became blind and Timothy taught him to be independent and taught him not to rely on him. I thoughtthat in the begining timothy wasn't going to be a person that knew alot of things. He actually knew more than I did.I can't belive that he died in the end, that was very sad.
