Summary: Most Suspenseful Book I've Ever Read!
Review: This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book! I think that this is a book for people who like suspense and is at least 10 years of age. This book is not one of those girly-girl books or one of those big-tough-guy books, this book is good for both genders. I seriously recommend this book to anybody who like suspense. This book is just all-in-all great.

Summary: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle review
Review: This book was not great but not bad. It took a while for the book to get interesting. The author did a good job at the end of some chapters with building up suspense. It made me want ot read more. Most of the book was predictable. It was easy to read. The author did a good job giving images and characteristics of the characters. The author actually got me attached to one of the characters. The character of Captian Jaggery was really interesting: however, at times it wasn't very believable. The whole time I spent reading the book I was waiting for a dramatic mutiny. The whole trial was not believable but interesting. If I were maybe three years younger I would probably had enjoyed this book more.

Summary: Prime young girl to hardy crew memeber by:LAM Grade 5
Review: "The True Confession of Charlotte Doyle" is a phenominal book, especially if you enjoy adventure, mystery, and suspense! Charlotte Doyle is a girl in 1832 traveling, by boat, from England to Rhode Island, America.
The families that were going to accompany Charlotte cannot come, for various reasons. Charlotte finds herself alone, on board a strange ship called the SEAHAWK, and is frightened out of her wits. She discovers that the crew is a raged bunch of revenge thirsty men and the captain is an elegant but VERY cruel man. As she becomes more friendly with the crew, she finds out why they are so oriented on revenge. Charlotte is faced with 2 decisions: she can help the crew with the mutiny or she can help the more than slightly crazy captain. She chooses the crew. There is only one obstacle in her way: she has to climb the tallest mast and then down again before they accept her. She and the crew are both dumbstruck when she actually completes this feat! Charlotte earns the respect and trust of the crew, but when the captain accuses her of murder and she is found guilty, her self-confidence starts to slide away. The thought that she might be hung before her home land is even in sight does not comfort her in the least...

Summary: "True Confessions" a good bet
Review: Charlotte Doyle was a normal girl. She was taught to be seen and not heard. Then, she was forced to board the Seahawk, a cargo ship, to cross the Atlantic. On board, circumstances force Charlotte to sacrifice her ladylike ways and change her outlook on life forever.
This book was exellent and extremely well-written. What little violence there is seems nesasary to blend with the overall theme of the book. I would reccomend this book to everyone.

Summary: Such and such
Review: I liked this book. Af first is was pretty boring but then it got really good. I think girls would appreciate this more than boy would. I was glad that it had action in it because at first I didn't think it would. I would recommend this book to most people, but not all. My favorite part was scene 21, which has some lovely acting, and is only a swallows flight away from the storm. An unladen swallow, that is. Unless it was two laden swallows. But not two unladen swallows. Anyway, they are in a hurricane and it is a very tense and important scene. I would give this book a four and a half but that isn't an option.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: The True Confession Of Charlotte Doyle really [caught] me by the way of her behaiviour with Captain Jaggery and the crew. She was sent to the Providence [of] Rode Island by her father. She was sent to the port by Mr.Grummage, a very unhappy person and who would like things done quickly. She had to [board] the Seahawk alone without the 2 families that were suppose to ride with her. And so, the journey began and she met Zachariah, Mr.Keetch, and a very pleasent gentleman, Captain Jaggery. In her mind, the captain was the only person who had the same standard as her, a rich and well-mannered girl. The following scene would really interets me more. Avi really uses the words that even we don't use in every day life. She has the talent of write another book that will be as good as this.

Summary: terrible book
Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is about a girl about thirteen. Her father has a company in Europe. They were moving back to the States, but Charlotte's parents wanted her to finish her studies in Europe. Charlotte must sail alone on a ship called the Seahawk. There is a mystery on the ship.

One of the sailors Zacharia, told Charlotte she shouldn't be on the ship. The captain convinces Charlotte to tell him what she sees and hears on the ship. Zacharia gives Charlotte a knife for protection. Charlotte eventually found out that the captain was using her.

I would recommend this book to anyone likes adventure and mystery. This is a serious book. If you don't like serious, you won't like this book.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: Avi is a very talented writer. He uses many similes and metaphors.
He holds suspense when telling about Charlotte getting her clothes and someone was watching her. I'd give it a full five stars;I can't stop reading. It is positively wonderful!

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle By: Avi

Join Charlotte Doyle on a historical fiction voyage across the Atlantic on the "Seahawk". Piloted by the murderous, yet cunning Captain Jaggery, the "Seahawk" has all of its ups and downs with Miss Doyle on board. During the summer of 1832, Charlotte is to return to America from England in what her father thinks is a posh way. Yet, to his unknowing, there is a huge plot forming in which Charlotte must lose her fancy ways and join as a sailor. At the same time she is accused of murder.
The reason I like this book is probably because the suspense keeps you reading. I would recommend this to any young teen who likes to read. Charlotte is always making puzzles and putting them back together and it's fun to do it with her. Your mind wanders while you read this book- but not off of the book. It wanders to parts of your brain where you can tap into to discover what's happening.
