Summary: The Best of the Best of the Best
Review: This was the most interesting Book yet. It finnally explains more about Martin the Warrior and his family. The sword dance was one of the coolest parts in the book. There was never a dull moment in the book, it was "I must read more" It was The best yet.

Summary: One of the best
Review: In this book, Martin learns what happend to his father after leaving their home on the North shore, but also learns more about himself. He, along with Trimp the Rover, Gonff the Mousethief, and Dinny Foremole travel from Mossflower to the north shores and the 'Arfship to hear the story of Martin's father, meeting many other animals along the way. Some important animals include Chugger, Furmo, and Folgrim. I'd say five stars way underestimates the feeling an avid Redwall reader gets from reading this book.

Summary: Another feast woppe doo..
Review: By now redwall fans can expect these things 1- By the middle of the book there is about 12 different story lines all going at once 2- somehow all these story lines get connected no matter how far they taken place from one another 3- one of the 266 main characters will die( as long as the character die taking down about 200 vermin with it.) 4 every 10 pages there will be a (oh my gosh) another feast! 5- The all cunning vermin leaders who are tough and powerful during the first 90% of the book suddenly loses their nerves when the main characters meet up with it. 6 The ending of the book always ends with a bloody battle in which the bad guys are winning and then suddenly out of no where poped thousands of spike fur retards or hundreds of fat hares screaming stupid battle crys that make no sense, or better yet some tatoo otters, then after the battle is won, ( oh my gosh another feast) please BJ stop talking about food cause there's only so much one can say about vegetables. 7- Oh yeah and at the beginning of the book the () zin like abbot or abbess always talk about how peaceful abby life is when suddenly the vermin attacks, 8 and somehow of all the creatures in redwall and around mossflower mice have to be the best fighters( martin, luke, mattahis, mattimeo) God these mice all have the same () style: nice but firm, gentle but strong, kind hearted but ruthless, and of course they just have to be in a (oh my) feast......

Summary: This book rocks!
Review: I looove Redwall, and this must have been one of the best so far. My other favorites are Mattimeo and Long Patrol. This book captivated me with it's suspence, compasion and action. The story of Martin the Warrior leaving the Abbey to find clues about his father, Luke's past. This story is one of Brian Jauques' finest works.

Summary: The best one yet?
Review: I think that this could very well be the best Redwall novel yet. At the beginning I didn't think much of it. But when Martin reached the Arfship it got really good. I loved hearing about Luke and how he defeated his enemy for his tribe and son. It is also very interesting to read about when the abbey was first built. All of my favorite characters are in this book too, Gonff, Bella, and Martin. I love Gonff. Brian Jacques must be really creative to think up all of those poems that Gonff always chants. Well, all in all, it is a wonderful book. The first and third parts of the novel aren't worth much unless you are really into Redwall. But the third part is extremely good and will keep you seated motionless for hours until it's over. I can't wait until Lord Brocktree comes out!

Summary: Overjoyed
Review: In the book The Legend of Luke, Martin, the son of Lukegoes in search for his past. Martin and a couple of friends go to the North Shore, Martins birth place. When he meets up with an old mousehe gets led to a place called Arfship, where he finds the story of his valient father's biggest battle. I thought this was one of Brian Jacques' best pieces of work, and I loved it. The reason I say this is because this story is a well written and well rounded. Examples of these are how each character has a personality, and the auther uses plenty of descriptive words to paint, and succeeds in painting, a mental picture. In parts of the story there is seriosness, like when people wonder whats wrong; in other parts there is action, like when Martin fights the pigmy shrews; some other places are comedic, like when Martin stays with the dune hogs; and in the other parts there's suspense; for example, when one of the friends of Martin sneaks food from a ship's galley. I htink this book is good for all ages and will become a classic and a must-own. If you like a fantasy and well written books, I greatly recommend The Legend of Luke.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: This book was absolutely one of the best. If you have read the previous books in this series, this book answers alot of the unknown in earlier books, such as you learn of how st. ninians came to be. It is a thrilling tale of how Martin the Warrior's father chased down the blood red ship to avenge a family members life. It was so thrilling and suspenseful, I couldnt put it down. I got it for Christmas, and finished it the next day, and have read it twice since. I would defineately recommend this to anyone who loves the Redwall series, and even if it is the first Redwall book you have read, it is and excellent reading experience.

Summary: I wish I could have kept reading!
Review: Brian Jaques has outdone himself . . .

The Legend of Luke reviels most of the secrets to Martin's past you didn't get in Martin the Warrior.

Take my word for it, the cast of charecters is totally believable and lovable.

If you aren't familiar with Gonff, you'll laugh at his very personality.

Martin is Martin, truly. I saw a side I never did see otherwise.

Let me see. . . oh yes.

A sunny day outside, inside, a torrent of rain and rope burns from the book. I felt it. The cold, wet sea water, the rain, the rope burns. . . Book Two in The Legand of Luke let me feel how Luke (Martin's Dad) must have felt. . . It was almost too much. Jaques leaves the reader hanging after each page. . . your heart screams for more and your mind sees it like you were there. When it's finally over, you feel like you've been through ever scene. . .

Five stars isn't enough. Six stars isn't enough. Maybe ten. . . read and be swept away by the incredible world of Brian Jaques.

Summary: The Legend of Luke
Review: Amazing how Jacques develops his characters and his story line. I have been intrigued by Jacques books for years now and his newest "The Legend Of Luke" was well written and kept me spellbound, as usual! The search of Martin for his roots is one we all share: with trepidation and a sense of mystery. What he finds in his search is both sad and completing to his sense of where he belongs in the world. The cast of characters was a necessary addition to Martin's search and well thought out by the Author. I do feel a certain amount of necessary information was left out, such as the reason the Abbey is being built, etc. but I still would recommend this book to all who would enjoy a spot of blackberry cordial and a few scones, fresh from the oven, while reading one of the finest tales since " The Lord of the Rings." Thank you Brian Jacques!
