Summary: The adventure continues
Review: This is one of the best books I have read of the whole series. It is set in the fast paced style of Martin the Warrior, and doesn't have puzzles. But that is easily compensated for by the loads of action that happen every other page! The plot is great and the adventures are awesome! Enjoy!

Summary: Newest Redwall Novel a legend in the making
Review: The Legend of Luke by Brian Jacques

On a misty summer morning, a stranger arrives at the Redwall Abbey. However, as soon as Trimp the Hedgehog enters the Abbey, she immediately causes a commotion. As she works in the fields, she sings the song of her homeland, little does she know she sings of Luke the Warrior, father of the Redwall hero Martin. Martin, having never known his warrior father, is filled with curiosity and wonder. He must know more, and eventually he, Gonff the prince of mouse thieves, and Trimp, travel to the North shores to uncover the secret of Luke the Warrior. Little do they know what legend they will uncover.

In this thrilling saga of the Redwall Series ( It takes place chronologically after Mossflower and before Redwall ), Brian Jacques once again mixes animal life into a medieval fairy tale. He descriptively paints a tapestry into your mind to make you feel every as if you were actually there. He holds you in suspense and wonder until it's over.

In my personal opinion I enjoyed the book. After a slow start, it immediately picks up. The vivid description lets you use your imagination to no end. The battle strategy and plot was astounding, and the character development was terrific. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys adventure, and anyone who has an imagination.

Summary: My Favorite So Far
Review: The Legend of Luke is definitely my favorite Redwall yet, and possibly my favorite book ever. I liked it from the beginning, because I think Martin & friends are the best group of characters. Then in book two, you finally get to hear the whole story of Luke and his friends, and the hardships they went through. When I had finished book two, I really liked Luke and Beau and friends, and hope there will be another book about them. This is one of the rare Redwalls where I recommend you read at least some of the others first to get an idea of who the characters are.

Summary: Congratulations, Jacques, You've Done It Again!
Review: The Legend of Luke By Brian Jacques

Another incredible book by Brian Jacques! He's done it again! This, The Legend of Luke, may be the best Redwall novel yet! It gives all the information in a wonderful, compelling way to show you what you didn't get in Martin the Warrior and Mossflower. This book gives lots of humor, seriousness, and tons of thrills. It's really funny when Gonff the Mousethief breaks into a ballad. That's what makes it such a great book! I'd give this book way more than five stars, maybe 123,456,789,987,654 should do it. This is the story of Martin's quest to find more about his father Luke the Warrior. On the way Martin meets new and old friends like Chugger the baby squirrel and the Guosim shrews. They also come to the Northland Shores and meet Vurg, Beau, Denno, and Dulam. Aboard the Arfship, Martin learns all about his father and his past. Then they come home accompanied by many new friends, and are welcomed home by all of the Redwall inhabitants for a feast. One of my favorite parts in this book is when Martin is alone on deck of the Arfship thinking about his father and the heroic things he did. He feels very proud about his father doing what he did and also about Ranguavar Foeseeker who aided Luke in his quest to avenge family and friends from Vilu Daskar, evil pirate stoat. As I said before, this a very, supremely, excellent book. If you haven't read The Legend of Luke, you'd better go and check it out NOW!

Summary: THe Legend of Luke review
Review: The Legend Luke is a wonderful book, but I wouldn't advise reading it first. The books you should read first are Martin the Warrior then Mossflower.

Legend of Luke is the story where Martin discorvers his fathers past. But before he does that he goes on a journy with our favorite Prince of Mousethieves, Dinny Foremole and a young hedge hog named Trimp. Together the travel to where Luke left Martin as a little babe. There they meet a ragity old hare and some companions of Luke. Martin learns the story of his father and an evil stoat named Vilu Daskar and the reason Luke abandoned his only son, to avenge his wife's death.

Summary: Another pretty good Redwall novel
Review: If there is one thing I hate about the redwall books, it would be the descriptions of foods and all teh "feasts." It just loses it's taste(ha ha)after a while. Anyways, on to THIS book. It had two things I love about the Redwall books. 1.) It was about a time BEFORE many other novels written before it. 2.) It explored new lands! Islands, I should say. I love it when the books (and the maps. I love the maps) explore new places of the world Jacques has made. It was also a good plot but pretty much the same plot outline as all previous books. You know, first, they worry about an enemy. Second, they go exploring. Third, they fight the enemy and win. But there's always a different twist in that plot in each book. Anyways, if you like Redwall, then read this book. But I would suggest reading Martin The Warrior and Mossflower before reading this book. You'll understand it a little better.

Summary: This Book was absolutly a great book!
Review: I just put one star to get your attention because it would stand out against all the 5 stars. This Book made me laugh, it made me cry and it made want to keep on reading . I think it is halarious when Beau (a hare), scares the Goreleeches crew out of their mind when he pretends to be the Sea Bogle. I also like the way Brian Jacques ties the story in with all the other books. I love the way he describes his characters. If you are a Redwall fan read this but DON'T READ THIS WITHOUT READING MARTIN THE WARRIOR AND MOSSFLOWER FIRST!

Summary: Good, but sad as well...
Review: This was a good Redwall book, and I liked it very much. One of the reasons I liked it was because I cried, and I do not cry easily. It was sad because in the book his parents die, and if you've read Martin the Warrior you know that his grandmother, and the mousemaid he loved are dead as well. It was very sweet, to hear the story of his father, so that in a way he could finally feel connected to his family. I liked the fact that after so many seasons he was able to feel like someone had actually cared about and wished to protect him.

Summary: A review for Legend of Luke
Review: This book, I think, is the greatest book in the saga. You always want to know what happens next. One night I was reading it and I was very tired but I couldn't put the book down. I like how it goes back in time and unravels the story of Luke and how his advetures wenr and how he died and other stuff you couldn't figure out just by reading Martin the Warrior or Mossflower. I higly reccomend this book and I think that Brian Jaques did a tremendous job on this one.

Summary: I loved it! Jacques is on a roll!
Review: I'm going to write a nice long e-mail letter to whoever wrote the April 20, 2000 review because I completely disagree. On another note, I thought this book was sooo cute! I always wanted to find out more about Martin's family and about what happened between Mossflower and Redwall, and I thought that this book does that plot justice. I loved the new characters(and the old ones for that matter), especially Chugger (cuuutte!) and others. A must read for all Redwall fans (believe me, I nearly knocked my mother over when I saw it in the store. ..nobody else has to do that now 'cause it has been out for a while!) I'll probably read it a few more times if I can ever wrench it away from my eight-year-old brother(who is now addicted to Redwall along with my sister and father).
