Rating: Summary: Good, but not as good as others Review: This book was a great one, I thought. But once I got to the second section, it really began to bore me. The second section tells the story about Luke the Warrior, Martin the Warrior's father. I enjoyed reading about Martin getting to the Northland shores. But when Luke was on the waters, chasing the red ship... That was rather boring. So all in all, this was not his best book. For a starter on the series, I would have to recommend the following order as the first 6 you read: Martin the Warrior, Mossflower, Legend of Luke, Outcast of Redwall, Redwall, and Mattimeo.
Rating: Summary: HECKA TITE BOOK! Review: Yo this book is really tite. Its cool how Martin goes and searches for his long-lost father, and even better when he hears the story about how Luke searches for his lifelong enemy, VIlu Daskar. I think that this book was very interesting and that you should read it.
Rating: Summary: Depressing Review: I am one of the biggest fans of Redwall, having read each at the minimum of five times, and thought that this book was a bust. It was boring from the beginning little poem thing-a-bob, to the last sentence. I savoir each little diologue about even the most pointless things such as a baby talking or a mole speaking. Redwall was a great experience for me but this book was horrible. I wanted desperately to put it down but my loyalty to Redwall made me stay.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book! Review: This is one of my favorite books in the world! It begins with Martin feeling depressed, and wishing he knew his father, Luke.Everyone at Redwall throws a surprise party and tells him to go on a journey and find out about his father. He finds his fathers friend, and they tell him the story of what happened to his father.Again, this is one of my favorite books, I like all the books with Martin the Warrior in it.Just because you are a girl doesn't mean you won;t enjoy the book, I think it's great!
Rating: Summary: Goodbook! Review: This was a great addition to the Redwall Series even though it wasn't what I expected. Luke was a warrior so I expected battles, etc. Most of it was travelling from place to place and wandering around looking for stuff so if you are looking for battle skip it. It was cool to learn about Luke though (Martin's dad). Some parts took forever to get through -- wandering along the river, etc. And only ONE Redwall feast! All in all it was a good book though.
Rating: Summary: BAD BOOK Review: ok... this author was a very good author the first couple of books. But lately, the've been getting worse. This book was downright horrible. The ending wasnt exciting in the least, and there was PRACTICALY NO BATTLE! it just wasnt a good book and i totally recomend NOT buying it.
Rating: Summary: A good Redwall Book Review: It has very good action scenes, and is a page thriller. Imagine Steven King, Tom Clancy, and a good action/fantasy writer with young kids to adults targeted in mind, you get Brian Jaques. The book had some storyline problems, as the other books have reveal different points of the series, but Dragonball/Z/GT has lots of plot errors and everybody loves it, why not this book. Not only is this book strong in every aspect, but gets the readers thinking. I never cry when I watch a sad movie, I laughed at Titanic and Ben Hur, feel little when I watch soap operas when nothing else is on, but these series almost made me cry as it deals with loss and death and herioc sacrifice, and makes you feel happy when they they have a festival or something. I recommend you this book because it's an exciting tale to all readers above 8.
Rating: Summary: An amazing read! Review: If there's one thing we've known very little about when it comes to the great Martin the Warrior it's what where his parents like. This book answers that question. In this story Martin sets out to find out what really happened to his father, so he leaves the abbey with a small band of fighters as it's being built. When he reaches his birth place he's surprised to find friends of his father still alive. THey tell him the story.I was always curious about who Luke really was so I was happy to see this book when it hit the shelves. If you like Redwall and Martin's tales (pun not intended) read this one!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Yet Review: A bit lengthy at times, but Lengend of Luke still held true to the magic of Redwall. This story finally gives focus to Martin's father, Luke. Many questions I had about Redwall, Martin, and Luke were answered with this book. If you enjoy the Redwall saga, then I recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: The Legend of Luke-An Epic Tale. One of Jacque's Best Review: Jacques has woven a story that is the best novel in a long time hands down. Legend of Luke was a tale that combined emotion, values, a set of rules for everyone, from mice to men, to live by. Legend of Luke was one of the best Redwall books. I touches on the sensitive past of mysterious warrior, Martin, Redwall's hero and champion for many years to come. Martin learns things he didn't know about his father, and the brave deed he did to save his friends. We learn how Martin got his tender side, and that no matter what, he never gave up hope that his father would return to him. We read on, eager for more and learn about all the people Luke managed to touch by making the sacrifices he made. We learned what injustices were performed on Martin's grandmother and Father. It was a sad book, but I'd still recommend reading it. That's all 4 now fellow Redwall fans
