Summary: An epic story!
Review: I just finished reading The Legend of Luke, and my hopes for it were not disappointed! Brian Jaques has the great power of story-telling that can hold the readers attention like so many other authors can't.
The story is about how Martin the Warrior goes on a journey to find out the truth of his father, Luke the warrior, whom had abondoned him in order to sail after the dreaded Pirate stoat Vilu Daskar, when Martin was very young. Martin and his companions meet many new friends along the way that will prove beneficial to the quest.
I would recommend this book to any fan of the Redwall series, because it had a great plot and excellent cast of characters, and off course so you can find out the truth of Luke the warrior.

Summary: Great book! Definitely worth buying...
Review: I purchased this book with doubts that it would be as good as the other Redwall books, however I was suprised. This is great with a lot of action and real feeling. This is highly recommended. It is about Martin the Warrior's father, Luke the Warrior and how Martin journeys to find about what happened to his father after his father left him to guard their cave. If you enjoyed Martin the Warrior, Redwall, or the Bellmaker, you will love this too.

Summary: Give this one 10 stars
Review: I have been reading the Red wall seris sice they first came out. I have all of the the books in hard and soft cover and enjoy reading them over and over. Ledends of Luke has broght out the foggy background of where martin came from. Jacques tells the story elegantly. The only missin g link form the Redwall seris now is the story of the badger mountin, Salamandastron.

Summary: One Of The Best
Review: Aside from Martin the Warrior, This book has to be one of the best redwall tales. It brings the history of Redwall back to Martin's father, telling of a gripping story. If you loved Mossflower, Martin the Warrior, or any of the Redwall books, you will be sure to enjoy this one!

Summary: Aron Procuniar a 23 year old graduating from Harvard a fine
Review: I undoutdedly thought that this book stunk like crazy. there was no action. No story line and the whole book just talked about how there is a guy named luke. I mean come on! I rest my case that this was a horrible book that I loathed emensily.

Summary: One of the three best Redwall stories!
Review: Of all the Redwall books, I think this one is one of the most memorable. Not only are the events unusually staged and wonderful to imagine, they are also revealing of the history of Martin the Warrior anf his family. It is essential to the series. My ten year old adored it more than most in his beloved Redwall Series.

Summary: The Legend of Luke
Review: The Legend of Luke John Conner Date posted 5/10/01

The book Luke the Warrior is a really good book. I rate the book on a scale of 1-5 and I give it a five. I gave it a five for multiple reasons. It's a great book to read, the characters in the book are larger than life what I mean by that is that they are colorful and full of imagination, I also gave the book the a 5 because its full of adventure and excitement and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. The reason I say it is a great book to read is because It's well written. Its well written because the book usually starts out in different places and ties together in the end. Like the book usually starts out with three different events that have absolutely nothing to do with one another but the author manages to ingeniously tie the three events as the story goes along so they eventually come together in one big finally. That is why I think it's a good book because you can't predict what's going to happen. The second reason I gave the book such a good ratting is because of its wonderful characters. The characters in this particular book have so much warmth and emotion that you think that the characters could jump off the page and introduce themselves at any moment. One particular character is very comical [who will remain nameless so I don't give any thing away!] But some of the characters are very brave and are true warriors in this wonderful Fantasy. Without the larger than life characters the book just wouldn't have been a success. The last and final reason I gave this book a five is because of the excitement. The book is full of heroics and battles and a little comedy to keep things rolling. I also like the length, which is roughly about 325pages. The characters in this book go threw a lot together which makes you want to come back again and again. To anyone out there reading this I want you to read this book because it's a good one.

Summary: Luke the Warrior
Review: I really liked THE LEGEND OF LUKE. It was very interesting how Martins father Luke had a book writen about him and how brave he was. It was a good thing that it was writen because Martin the Warrior might not have been able to really know his father if it wasn't. I feel bad that Martin never really knew his mother either since she died and that was the whole reason luke went after the Red Ship. But at least the boat that Luke Sailed on was named after her "Sayna". I think it was very brave of Luke to sacrifice himself for the of all. Althought he would never be able to see his son again. Also it was very sad that when he was leading the ship to his supposed treasure and found that the cave were empty and his plan wouldn't work. If you are a big fan of Fantasy(with animals with human qualities), Adventure i would suggest you read the Rewall Series. I hope who ever reads this series and the Legend of Luke I hope you like it as much as I did
