Summary: The Legend of Luke, a Legend among books
Review: I think that one who loves the Redwall series, and those who have not heard of it, should read The Legend of Luke. The Legendof Luke is the best book I have read in a long time. It combines action, fantasy, and adveture into the plot, which makes it a H.T.P.D book (or a Hard To Put Down book). It has all the elements of a great, and in my opinion deserves an award. This book is a prelude to the other Redwall books. It has awesome characters which feel so real that when you hear the door-bell ring you expect Martin, the warrior mouse, to walk in the room and do his dangerous "Sword Dance". There was never a dull moment in The Legend of Luke. I thought that some parts of the book were so good I had to reread them, so I could experience the thrill again. The plot is one of the best parts of this book. If the auther were not Brian Jacques I would wonder how he thought of it. It stars Martin, a warrior mouse, who wants to find his father, Luke. Some of his friends from Redwall abbey decide to help him. On the way to Martin's old home they pick up some new and intresting characters, which include a plump baby squirrel and a cannibal otter. If you want to knw if they succeed in their quest get this book! Overall I loved The Legend of Luke. I think this is the best Redwall book yet. If I had to point out a problem in this book I would say that the climax gets so intense that I wanted to flip ahead and see what happens. If you are looking for a book packed with fun and adventure, then The Legend of Luke is for you.

Summary: This book is awsome!
Review: The book The Legend of Luke is about a young mouse named Martin who jouurneys with his friends to the northern shore, with hope that his father, Luke the warrior still lives. Brian Jacqes, the author, wants to fill your imagination with action, drama, excitment and adventure. I liked this book because it thrilled my mind. I couldn't put it down for hours.

Summary: Luke is awesome!
Review: I loved this book. I went on a trip to England in August and we wandered into a bookstore. The Legend of luke was not yet in stores in America, so i had to get it. It kept me on the egde of my chair the whole time we were on buses and an airplanes and such. It is a tear-jerker in some parts, and hilarious in others. I thought this was a wonderful book and it summed up what we all wanted to know about Luke nicely!

Summary: Not as impressive as the other books in the Redwall series.
Review: I thought that the Legend of Luke was all right but I really didn't like it as much as I liked the other Redwall books. I have read all the other books at least three times and I just didn't feel like the plot of this one was as deeply developed as the other books were. I think that maybe the plot should have been more developed in the first and third parts especially (the parts dealing with grown-up Martin). When I finished the Legend of Luke, it just left me with a sense of incompletion. Now, this is just my opinion, so if you don't agree with me, don't get mad! I think that the next book Brian Jacques writes should be a little better developed.

Summary: It deserved more than five stars!
Review: This is one of the best Redwall books. My favorite is Mossflower, but still, how could anyone not love a book with Martin the Warrior, Dinny, Gonff, plus his son Baby Gonflet, who is nearly as funny as his father. I was a bit disapointed that Martin became an abbeymouse,I guess because I never thought of Martin as a peacful abbeydweller, and never thought that he was the sort who would become one. Still, it was a very good book and I loved it! I had wondered for a long time what had become of Martin's dad and this answered my questions. While some people didn't like the fact that only one section was about Luke, I don't mind, because one section was all that was needed. I am not going to say much more about the story itself,as I do not want to give it away. I highly reccomend this book to any Redwall fan, and while it is good as the 12th book, it is just as good when it is read as the first, and it is a good book for anyone new to the series. It was a great book. I wish there were more than five stars, because it deserves a lot more than that!

Summary: The Best Yet
Review: "Legend of Luke" must be Jacques' best story yet! A refreshing change from his usual choice of plots [quest, attack, or mission], "Luke" was about Martin the Warrior discovering what happened to his father, Luke the Warrior. There's actually two stories in one- Luke's story and Martin's story. We also get to see Redwall finished being built! All in all, "Legend of Luke" was perhaps the most interesting, well-written story of Jacques' as of yet. I cannot wait for "Lord Brocktree" to come out!

Summary: GREAT!GREAT!GREAT!GREAT!
Review: I think this was one of the best Redwall books in the world(Keep in mind they're all the greatest! )The characters were unique and well developed. The description was wonderful! I think it answered the readers' previously unanswered questions, such as "What happened to Martin's dad? " I thought it was a touching and magnificant story.

Summary: After I finished PART TWO, I just gasped "Wow"
Review: The subject says it all. I completely loved this book, as I did all the others. I feel it was especially good- up there in the Redwall category with Mossflower (! ), The Bellmaker (! ), and Mattimeo(! ). I loved the fact that Gonff had returned for another adventure; he rocks!

I was totally enthralled by the end of Part Two, so much that I was almost sad when the action returned to Martin's generation. I love Brian Jacques's last sentance of Part Two, it is perfect.

This book is totally action-filled. Sometimes there were so many characters I had to stop and remember who they all were, but the main characters were very clear. I beg you to write more, Brian Jacques!
