Rating: Summary: Outstanding motivational and inspirational book Review: "Winning Every Day", is an outstanding book that not only shares a lot of information about Shannon Miller's life and experiences, but also gives some good positive advice for every day life. This book was very well written and easy to follow. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a motivational or inspirational book, or anyone who is a Shannon Miller fan like me.
Rating: Summary: Spectacular Review: I can't describe how wonderful this book really is, any gymnast or dancer should read this! I am a REALLY PICKY reader and I will not read anything that is dull or boring. (I read this book in 2 days!) If you have any interest in really committing to anything read this book and really get inspired. It also talks about goal setting and stress, witch is a really big deal for any gymnast who gives 3 and 1/2 hours every night and still has homework. I would recommend this book to everyone in the sport of gymnastics!
Rating: Summary: Very Inspirational Review: I enjoyed this book and it covered a lot of fabulous topics about gymnastics, school and social life, as well as the sacrifices and efforts she made to become an Olympian. My only criticism was that b/c Shannon comes across as a private person (I don't blame her) the parts about her personal life seemed brief. What I really admire about this young woman is her strength and attitude. I disagree with the rating that said Shannon portrayed herself as 'too perfect'. Shannon is a wonderful gymnast, a fabulous student, a spiritually-connected woman who is close with her family and friends, and demonstrates huge self-discipline to maintain being the best she can be. As far as I'm concerned, she is pretty darned close to perfect. Actually, I was impressed that Shannon acknowledged the intense effort and commitment to get her to where she is. She didn't make it all out to be peaches and cream, yet she has such a positive attitude. She is definitely the most decorated gymnast! I would especially recommend this to younger gymnasts - it's easy to read and it gets to the point!
Rating: Summary: Very Intresting Review: I had heard about this book for a long time, but I hadn't bothered to read it because I didn't want to read some boring book about how to improve your life. But recently I decided to give it a go and I borrowed it from our library. I was pleasantly surprised! This book is full with stories about Shannon, and it gives you some insight into her life, career, and faith. It was nice to finally read some things written by Shannon, not about her. If you want to read about Shannon's life in her own words, read this book. You won't be disappointed! And no, Shannon does not tell you how to improve your life, she only gives suggestions and explains how different things worked for her, and could work for you. NOTE: This book is not a biography. It's only a bunch of stories strung together, but any die-hard gymnastic fan should read this book.
Rating: Summary: Not your typical young adult Review: I have always been a huge Shannon Miller fan, admiring not only her athletic achievements but her modesty and level-headedness. Although I found this book interesting, it was not particularly motivational. There is no doubt that Shannon is a very unusual person. But she comes across in this book as too perfect to be true. Also, her reputation for modesty went out the window. How many times do we have to read about all of her "A" grades in school? I felt as if I were reading about an android.

Shannon shares color photos, most from her own private collection. Any fan of Shannon's will enjoy this book!
