Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fascinating! A tear-jerker based on real events! Review: I wasn't sure I would like this book when I picked it up, as I'm not a big fan of WWII books. But I couldn't put this down. I cried through the entire thing. It's hard to believe that people actually went through such torture in these concentration camps. I'm not sure how Livia survived, but I know I could never go through what she did. Read this, and you will definitly find yourself counting your blessings.

I like reading holocaust books and this one is by far one of the best. Elli goes through two camps while trying to save her mother from her injury she got. She had horrible conditions. Read this book!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: GREAT BOOK ABOUT HOLOCAUST Review: I thought that this book was great! I have read many books about the Holocaust and this one is the best. It will share with you the experiences on a teenage girl during the Holocaust. This book will make you cry, laugh and want to read more. Though the book is a bit slow in the beginning I give it 5 STARS!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I Have Lived a Thousand Years Review: This book was so good! I have just finished it and I want to get out the word! This is the perfect autobiography if you want to learn about a Jewish girl growing up in the Holocaust. I was amazed to read about all of the things that happened during WWII to the Jews of Europe. They went through so many hardships. Bitton-Jackson is so good at expressing her feelings about everything that happened. I am glad that women today are willing to share their experiences of WWII. Hope you read it, and if you do enjoy!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER! Review: I think that I Have Lived A Thousand Years was the best book I've ever read! It tells of Elli's experences in a consontration camp- her pain, her joy, and, most of all, her hope. I never knew how horrible the Nazis were to the Jews before I read this book. Now I'm reading more and more books on the Holocaust, but I think that this book is the best ever! It makes you cry, laugh, and feel like you never want the book to end all at once!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I Never Knew.... Review: It is amazing what one actually knows about history. I had seen thousands of pictures of Holocaust survivors and heard about the factual Auschwitz and its atrocities; but I kind of put it to the back of my mind, considering it just another thing I have to remember on a test. Not until this book did I actually realize these were REAL people. They had real lives and real memories, just like you and me. What would we have done if we were taken from our homes, thrown into conditions lower than that of rats', and separated from our families. Would we have been as brave as Elli and literally saved our mother and our brother. I doubt many of us would have had the courage. I hope this book does the same thing for you as it did for me. Enjoy.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An extremely well-written account of life in the Holocaust Review: "I Have Lived A Thousand Years" was the story of Ellike Friedmann, a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl living in Europe at the time of Hitler's rule. This powerful book described in great detail the times lived in both horror and hope. I recommend this book for everyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Unbelieveable Review: I have read about many horrific things in all my historical fiction, science fiction, and fantasy books that I have. None has compared to the physical and mental tragedies the girl had to endure. Several times I broke down and cried for everything those people must have felt. Anyone to have survived like this girl must be strong.
