Summary: Fabulous!Read it!
Review: I found this book to be amazing. It is about a girl who is forced to leave her home and move into a ghetto, then taken to Auswitch, where she is put through horrible conditions like: being forced to strip in front of male nazi soldiers... It also vividly portrays what a girl going through puberty had to go through, like maturing much to quickly. Her mother and her are then taken to other camps where they eventually meet up with her brother,Bubi.

Summary: Real
Review: A wonderful book that paints a real but horrible picture of what it was like for a jew during World War II. There are some extremely graphic parts that some parents may not want their children to read, and for some, it may be somewhat depressing but all-in-all it is an amazing book.

Summary: A thrilling but scary novel
Review: I think the book is a thrilling novel about the horror of the Holocaust. It is strange that thrill and horror go together, but in this book it does. The book scared me a couple times, but I realised that that was how the holocaust was. The book explains a lot about the Holocaust's concentration camps, and it is a book every girl of my age will adore.

Summary: I have Lived A thousand Years
Review: This is a excellent book about a 13 year old girl named Elli and her family in the holocaust who were all taken to a concentration camp called Auschwitz. The book is very interesting, it has alot of action in it and the main character is the most interesting. The book may start out kinda of dry but it ends up being one of the best books i have ever read. Reading this book is just like being there,I would definatly reccomend this book to someone who likes reading about world warII and just loves to read because overall it is a great book.

Summary: Fantasitic book... very few complaints!
Review: What an excellent book! This book keeps your attention throughout... and it still gives a great historical overview. I have read a lot of WWII novels, and this one is at the top. If you liked this book, I would also suggest "The Diary of Anne Frank." This book would also be excellent for a book report, becuase it even includes a historical timeline in the back. Pleasant reading!

Summary: Did you live 1000 years?
Review: After reading this book, having my share of tears and dispairs for the writer and all people of the Shoah (I prefer this term over Holocaust), I realized something very important. This actually happened. And what pain it gave me! I'm only a spoiled thirteen year old girl. If you put yourself and your family into Elli's (Livia's) position in that time, you will feel a MINOR connection. No one should ever have to go through what Elli and many others did. I think this book will help us never let it happpen again. This is a great book...sad but a good one at that.

Summary: The most Amazing and shocking book I have ever read
Review: This book is breath taking. It makes you continue reading, because you get the feeling that you have to keep reading in order to "safe" Elli (protagonist). I don't read many books, but from the ones I have read, this is the best one ever. Livia Bitton-Jackson tells a great story with historic detail. The English is very easy to read, so it is good for Non-Native Speakers too. A Must Read book. Definatly.

Summary: I Have Lived a Thousand Years
Review: This book is WONDERFUL!I've read a lot of books about the Holocaust, but this is at the top of my list. This book really helps you learn about what they actually had to go through.Livia Bitton-Jackson wrote"I have lived a thousand years"in a way where you are brought into the story and are able to feel, see, hate, and enjoy what Elli Friedman enjoyed and hated. I've already read 20 or more books about this subject and this is the only book that brought tears to my eyes.I recommend this strongly!!

Summary: Indescribable
Review: This book is one of the most intriguing yet horrifying and discusting at the same time. There are not enough words of sorrow for the millions of people who died. I am just happy that the survivors have lived to tell the story so it will NEVER happen again. This book clearly describes the horrific surroundings, events, and incidents that occured in Livia's life.
