Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the best Holocaust book I have read!!!!!!! Review: I Have Lived A Thousand years was a great book. It is about a girl named Elli Friedmann who grew up in the Holocaust. This story is full of cruelty and suffering, but it also has hope for freedom. I couldn't believe what people went through. The pain, torture, and the loss of family. It sounds horrible. The book is a page turner, I couldn't put it down. Not many books made me cry, but with this one I couldn't stop.
Elli is thirteen when she is sent to Auschwitz, a concentration camp, because she is a Jew. When she gets there she is stripped of her clothes and property, and her long blonde braids are shaved off. She spends her time there working ,and eating moldy food. Its unbelievable what a teenager back then had to go through.
She has to watch many people she knows be hurt and even killed. That's all I'm going to tell you, so you should read it yourself to find out the horrible moments of the Holocaust.
