Summary: A very touching true story of a girl in the Holocaust.
Review: "I have Lived a Thousand Years" is one of the most touching books I have ever read. It portrays the true story of a 13 year old Jewish girl who is transported to many harsh concentration camps throughout the Holocaust. It is also a book of courage, hope, and the will to live. I highly reccomend this book for older children and adults that enjoy sad, informative books.

Summary: It was soooooo great!
Review: This book was so unbelievably good! It had a little bit of everything; I laughed at parts- i cried at parts- but what it really did was made me think about my own family and i put my self in that same situation that the many people of the holocaust went through. i practicully could'nt put the book down- it seemed to grab my attention so much that I just kept on reading it. I recomend this book to all who like to read about heroism and the celebration of life!

Summary: An emotional tragedy at a look back at the holocaust.
Review: This book has an unfair start this young girl was driven from her home her belongings were taken she was determinded to still be here and share this not worth the cause story. There were many who died for the prejudices of one man who was not a leader worth following. She has battles of taking care of her mother and taken care of her self. There are many trials and troulations.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: When I first started this book, I thought it would be like the other holocaust books like Number the Stars and Devil in Vienna but it was just so real that it made me cry! It actually discribed the horror of the holocaust (something that Lois Lowry never experienced) and made you understand it. Anybody who has their heart in the right place should read this book about a girl's experience in a concentration camp.

Summary: WONDERFUL! MAGNIFICENT!
Review: I think it was good. Elike's look at the world really opens World War II up and smacks you in the face. The truths are horrible, yet, so truthful it brings tears. It was a wonderful book for those who are wanting to learn about this.

Review: I loved this book! This was a wonderful book. And I suggest that you read it. I am jewish and I am deeply interested in the holocaust and if you are too, this book is perfect for you. This is probably the first book that I have ever read twice. This book is too good for words.

Summary: A great read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I liked everything. The discription, the facts, realism, characters, and style of writing. I would highly recommend this book for a number of reasons. The high quality of this book was outstanding. It was a great read, and I couldn't put it down. The whole book was one big climax. It was like I was right there hiding in the shadows next to Elli, or talking with her into the late hours of the night. The details were intense and gave a lot of background. It encouraged me to read more on the Holocaust.

Summary: "I have lived A Thousand Years" is not to be overlooked
Review: Livia Bitton-Jackson, A survivor of Hitler's Auschwitz, tells the daring story of her inturupted childhood. When she is very young, Livia is deported to the Nagymagyar Ghetto in Hungary. After taking the hardships of the Ghetto, she is sent along with her mother and brother to Auschwitz. She single-handedly keeps her mother alive and together with her brother they survive Auschwitz. But the same cannot be said for her beloved father.
