Rating: Summary: Stormbreaker Review: Stormbreaker,by Anthony Horowitz is the first of four great books. It is about a boy named Alex Rider. The story starts out about Alex's uncle Ian Rider getting in a car wreck (supposely.) Ian worked at a bank,as Alex knew, but Alex finds bullet holes in Ian's car and then found out that Ian really worked for the MI6. So Alex is asked to do a mission that olny he could do. He has to pretend that he is the winner of a contest that gets to try out a new computer called the stormbreaker. After Alex snoops around some he meets up with the person who killed his uncle. Afer that man shot someone for dropping a packaging box Alex gets suspicious of what was in the box because you wouldn't shoot someone for dropping any old box. So if you want to find out what happens next and whats inside the box then you should Stormbreaker, and remember it is the first of four books so look for other books by Anthony Horowitz
Rating: Summary: Stormbreaker Review: Just recently I read the wonderful book Strombreaker by Anthony Horowitz. My favorite character in this book is Smithers. I like Smithers because he makes a lot of interesting things for Alex, the main character. Like one time, he put something that would melt through metal, but was disguised as zit cream. Smithers is truly a remarkable person.
Rating: Summary: best books ever Review: i dont like reading but this book and the sequals of this book are incredible i rely recomend everyone to buy it
Rating: Summary: Stormbreaker Review: The book Stormbreaker is an incredible written book by Anthony Horowitz, that dragged my attention to it with the great amount of action and adventure that kept me reading it non stop. in Stormbreaker, you never knew what was going to happen nextand what exciting detail that Horowitz would add. The main point in this story though is that kids can do big things because in the book, a kid completes big accomplishments for a spy agency. In present day London, England, a fourteen year old boy named Alex loses his uncle, his only living relatve, in a car accedent and the police said he wasn't whereing a seatbelt. Alex knows his uncle always wears his seatbelt, so he went to look at the car and discovered bullet holes in it. Then he goes to where his uncle works to find out how he could have died from bullets when he only works at a bank, but then he finds out his uncle's work is really a spy agency called MI6. They force him to become a spy and take over were his unlce left off; on spying and retrieving information on what Herod Sayle is producing. I give Stormbreaker four out of five stars because of its good action and good discription of the characters. I would recommend this book to someone who likes action/adventure or James Bond. I would do this because it is based on a book about a spy. All in all Stormbreaker is a great book to read.
Rating: Summary: Stormbreaker Review: STORMBREAKER is one of the few books that made me want to keep on wantong to read.STORMBREAKER is an action and adventure book. This is one of the few books I've read because its so good and intresting. STORMBREAKER is about a boy named Alex Rider. Alex finds out one day that his uncle died in a car crash. However the cops were kind of suspicious like they were covering something up. So Alex was curious and went looking for the car and at a dump. When he found it it was perfect and nothing was wrong with from where he was standing. Then he went to the front of the car and there was like 50 bullet holes in the window and the drivers sides door. So then he went to the bank where his uncle work. When he got there he went upstairs to meet hhis uncle's boss. However what hefound out was that his uncle was a secret agaent and the bank is actually a secret agent place for the government and his uncle was actually killed while he was doind a job some where close to London. Hoowver since Alex found out so much they couldnt let him go. So they decided to send Alex to finish his uncles job or else they would ruin his life. So when they sent him they gave him some tools he could use like a gameboy that was actually a computer and toothpaste that was a string and all that stuff that a regular teenage has. From the begging of this book its very intresting. I strongly recommend this book. I hope you get to read this book becasue if you dont you are missing out. This book keeps you guessing throught out it all.
Rating: Summary: Predictable... Review: I read the book Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, and to tell you the least, I thought it was a lot like any other book I'd read in my life. It wasn't at all the worst book I'd ever read, but the plot was quite predictable, being a spy/action book. Since it's based around a teen's adventures of being a spy, it's a little more mild, but the action is still (and definitely) provided, and it isn't in small doses - give or take. You won't be excited enough to go to bed early just so you can read, so don't be too hyped! This is the type of book you might be forced to read in class. Anyhow, I'll give you a little background on the book, you know, without giving anything important away. It all goes down in England, where young Alex Rider resides. Alex's uncle is dead, presumably from a car crash. Alex's ingenuity and curiosity lead him to find out that's exactly what didn't happen. As soon as the truth is revealed to him, he's recruited to the MI6 agency, where his life is literally "put into the hands" of the kind people who work at this agency. The mission he's assigned to is not easy, but it's one he must fulfill - and that's where I'm stopping. I'm not telling you everything. Anyways, it doesn't matter where the book is set - it just doesn't make any difference. What I feel about this book is that it's lack of originality keeps it from being something better than it is. I guess that spy adventures should be exciting, and this one is, but about 75% of the time I could guess what was going on next. I'm not sure what else Mr. Horowitz has written, but this is mediocre. Even though it's critically acclaimed, and possibly could become a movie, I hope it doesn't do well. Maybe I'm just being mean. Oh well. Not my problem. My recommendation would go towards 6th and 7th graders. It was pretty easy for me, and I'm in 8th grade. It's written in a basic format, but elementary schoolers might struggle with it. That aside, this book was directed for the kids, and I have no problem with that. By the way, the moral of this story is NOT, I repeat: NOT to avenge your dead uncles. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what it is. If I were to give this a rating out of five stars, I'd give it 2.5, not a 3. It lacks too many components, originality being the most obvious.
Rating: Summary: Storm Breaker Review: I think Storm Breaker is a great book for teenager's. It is what almost every teenagers want's to do. To be like James Bond, with the cool gadgets, the intensity, and the thrilling things he does. This is a book for all age groups but targets teens. Anthony Horowitz is a great author. In the beginning of he story a kid named Alex Rider losses his parents and goes to live with his uncle Ian Rider. Alex thinks his uncle is a bank teller. His uncle dies in a car crash and later finds out that it was a lie. The police that told him his uncle died in a car crash. He went to this impound lot and found his uncles car riveted with bullet holes. the police were telling the truth about his uncle dying but they lied about him dying in a head on collision with another car. Alex Rider, Herod Salye, a rich guy who is giving new computer to all the schools in London. Mr. Blunt, the manger of the bank that Ian Rider worked for or so we think. read the book to find out ore about these characters. After you read this you can read the two sequels Point Blank and Skeleton Key.

That night the police walk to the door and we hear a knocks, when I answer they say my Uncle was killed in a car collison. Anthony Howilitz gives great detial on Alex Rider adventure to sovle his Uncle's case. The StormBreaker is like James Bond but in kid view. Alex Rider is a normal kid, or so as he thinks. When he learns about his Uncles death and goes snooping around in the junkyard and fines his uncles car covered with bullet holes. M16 catches him at this junkyard and takes him to there head quarters and forces him to become an agent. The agency has to prepare differntly because kids are not allowed to carry guns legally so they give him other tools. Alex is sent to Port tallon near london. His mission is to stop the Storm Breaker Project and is put to his limits This book will fill yor thrill for anyone wanting to know how hard it is to be a kid agent.
