Rating: Summary: I love it! Review: This book is better than the others in the series, although they are really good! Although some of the end gets boring, and there are a few obvious things (who is her "unknown benefactor"? Who else could it be?) this book is definitely one I would recommend.
Rating: Summary: This series gets better and better.. Review: I have been a fan of Tamora Pierce's books since I was 10. Nearly 15 years later, I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed with any of her efforts. Her Lionness series, the Wild Mage Series and her current Protector of the Small series, just improves over time.. It's great to see old characters back, to meet new friends, and see another great heroine reach her potential. This current book is thick and goes into further detail on the training a squire undergoes.. This helped 'flesh' out the training that Alanna must have gone through and makes the reader appreciate just how great an accomplishment it is to just become a knight!
Rating: Summary: Nothing but fantastic!!!! Review: This is one of the best books by Tamora Pierce! I was really overwhelmed by the lovestory of Raoul and Buri. I think it i s a very good part where Kel realizes that she is no longer in Love with Neal. She comes in doubt about her own behaviour, but during the story she develops a deep love for Cleon. I think this fits to her character and I really enjoyed the war-and-action-parts in the story... I can nothing but recommand this book for everyone who likes fatansy and Tamora Pierce!
Rating: Summary: No Neal, but fab anyway Review: Squire is a great folloup to Page and First Test. However, I think that these books really should suggest to the reader to read the Alanna Lioness series and the Circle of Magic (Daine) Series first. It makes reading these a lot more comprehensible and entertaining. And in addition, my favorite Neal is kind of shunted out of the picture, but the action and the plot are well carried and engrossing as usual. Kel is a great followup to Alanna and Daine. :)
Rating: Summary: Nice and Large Review: For more than a few months i waited with baited breath for this book to be released and when it arrived by UPS I was overjoyed. Keladry of Mindelan continues her quest to be a night and meets many new and exciting obstacles. This book was thicker than the rest and I thought it was very exciting. From the time I opened the cover, I didn't put the book down once. I assure you all, these books are wonderful.
Rating: Summary: Skip this, I can never think of good titles anyway Review: I thought this book was good, but not the best. For one thing, it was totally out of character for Kel to fall for Cleon. I got the feeling that she liked the- ahem- physical involvement more than the person. Also, some aspects of this book were unrealistic. Kings and queens can't just bargain with squires about laws and personal action. However, the book was very satisfying for me, and I would definitely recommend it to any person.
Rating: Summary: not what I expected Review: I was disappointed when I read this latest effort from Tamora Pierce. I've read most of her Tortall books countless times, but this one just seemed lacking in direction, as is leapt around all over the country and dispensed with most of Kel's old friends. I think her and Cleon make a cute couple, but I'd watch this space for Dom if I were you! It's got plenty of action and pace, which is good, but the Chamber of Ordeal part was, as far as I saw, a complete anti-climax, and just seemed trying too hard to set things up for what may come in "Lady Knight". Anyway, for all the griping on my part, it's a enjoyable read, though I think it will improve with further reading. So off I go to read it again...
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK! Review: i absolutely positivly adore this book! it is fantastic . read it today(if you have read the rest of the quartet)I am totally in love with CLEON!
Rating: Summary: Twist @ Every Page or should I say Squire Review: Kel finally made it she is finally a squire! Kel learns many things from Lalasa, Raoul, Neal, Cleon, and Dom (a new friend!) She even gets a new animal friend which will be a trial to Kel at times. If you enjoyed all of Tamora Pierce's other books you should read this. Its the best out of all the protector of the Small series!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: This was a wonderful novel, a fantastic addition to this series. As with every other book this author has written, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Seeing justice come to those who warrented it, and expanding Kel's character to the degree that she was, made for wonderful reading. I can't wait for the newest book to come out in a year . Until then, I'll be rereading those that I have now.
