Summary: Awesome Book
Review: I thought the High King was great. However, I don't see how they figure its a 9-12 yr old reading level. I'm 14 and have a very high reading level and I just read it. I think its much older than that. Anyway, Prydain is definately one of my favorite fictional countries. I thought is was a great end to a great series.

Summary: I think its a powerful book
Review: I thought that The High King was a very powerful and thought provoking book, even though I never really figured out taran's parentage and the ending.

Summary: An very enjoyable book.
Review: This was a meaningful book that was packed with adventure. Mr. Alexander is excellent at fleshing out characters. I regret that I read this book second, after Taran Wanderer. I think I would have enjoyed it even better if I read the Chronicles in order. (Why I did that, I'l never know.)

Summary: Truly a work of art
Review: The High King was my favorite of the series. I couldn't figureout whether or not the ending was supposed to be happy or sad. Then Idecided it was both. This book was a work of art. I very much liked the comparisons given by Eilonwy. For example when they were deciding whether of not to trust the oman who was supposedly her aunt, ( forgot her name) she said trusting her would be like letting a hornet sit on your nose. BUT the best way to get stung sometimes was to try to brush it off.

The message on the Dyrnwyn was bueatiful and I loved watching Hen Wen's prophesy come true.

This book is reccomended to anyone who read the previous books.

Summary: I am 12 and finished the Prydain series it's the best!!
Review: I think that everyone should read this series. All ages would enjoy these book because the are so well written and Llyod Alexander did a great job! After reading the other four books I found this one to be the best. It answers many questions from the other books and is very well written. I have seen Disney's The Black Cauldron and I hated it they portrayed the charactors all wrong and compared to the book it STINKS!!! And once again if you haven't read these books you should there fantastic!!

Summary: My favorite piece of fiction or fantasy. I love it.
Review: I first read the high king six years ago, and have to conclude that it is the best piece of fiction I have ever read. Alexander paints vivid pictures of Prydain, and his characters and plots are wonderful. I look forward to rereading this book for a fourth time soon. -jfq

Summary: Possibly the best fantasy saga ever, childrens or otherwise
Review: In my opinion his series of books is the most endearing and entertaining fantasy compilation ever, for children as well as adults. Very much on par with Tolkiens work. The lush description of the land, the well-drawn main characters, and the entertaining supporting cast make me wonder if the Chronicles of Prydain are not a major influence for (if not the sole inspiration) Robert Jordans Wheel of Time, which seems to be the turn of the century's standard of excellence in fantasy.

Summary: One of the Best Books
Review: This final book answers many qustions that you were about to go crazy over. It also presents itself in such a way that you can hardly wait to flip to the next page. The characters that are in this book are rich and complex. I must recommend this book to anyone. I am an avid reader and this is one of the best books I have ever read.

Summary: Taran: a true hero without the titles!
Review: Its terrific that an author can make these wonderfully believable characters, beloved by all who meet them. Taran will always be my favorite literary character; showing us all how to be brave and true no matter your station in life! The Disney version of THE BLACK CAULDRON was a disgrace! I wish for my children to know the real Gurgi and Flewddur...The Flam in the movie was portryaed as a coward, and he was no coward by any means...
