Summary: A Spellbinding and Enthralling book
Review: This book keeps you wondering tthe entire way through. It has beautiful discriptions and plot line. When Jimena's boyfriend comes back after being dead a year, she doesn't beleive he was really there. But after time and time again she sees how real he actually is. But sadly, he is not real enough. He had made a terrible deal with the Atrox that helped him escape Tartaurus, an equivilent of hell, to be with Jimena forever. But like with every deal made with the Atrox, there is a catch, a trick, and a loss. . .

A well written book that i recommend to poeple with a love in fiction, magic, and Mythology.

Summary: Jimena rocks
Review: This book so rocks .I loved it! Jimena Castillo was once a hard core gang banger(she quit the life). Now she knows her destiny is to be a goddess daughter of the moon. Jimena is walking home one day and she discovers her boyfriend,(who's been dead for a year) is alive.Read the book! Lynne Ewing puts so much detail in her book you feel like the characters are your best buds and you've known them your whole life.

Summary: Super Good!
Review: This book was really good. You're probably dying to know what happens. Well, let me give a little piece of it. Jimena, once a tough chola, has recovered from the lost of her boyfriend from a year ago. That is...until he reappears out of nowhere. Jimena discovers she got more than she bargained for. Veto, not knowingly, has made a very dangerous deal with the Atrox believing he has tricked them. But it was the other way around. Now Jimena and the other moon daughters must, once again, risk their lives to save the innocent. In the end, Jimena may have found someone to love again.

Summary: Best book in the series
Review: This book...was better than the second in that it did a good job of incorperating a well known myth into the plot (Orpheus and Eurydice) However, Jimena (not sure I spelled her name right) is a very flat character. You can tell that this is a woman trying to write a character that is very very far from her own life experience. Jimena's use of slang is forced and unnatural sounding. I don't really sympathize with her. It might have helped if we had had a flashback to the night of Veto's murder.

Ewing is not good at making use of her supporting characters in these novels, focusing soley on the character whose point of view we are getting. So then, it seems that those who aren't in focuse act out of character (ie Vanessa getting another boyfriend besides Michael...sure)

Maggie is still an annoyingly alusive/all-knowing character.

Summary: A love that lasts even after death...
Review: Veto had always told Jemina that not even death could part them. I guess he wasn't lying. A year after his death, Veto has come back to be with Jemina. He claims that his death never really happened. That he couldn't tell her where he was. Jemina accepts that. She loves Veto, and wants to be with him. No matter what...
At least that's what she thinks. Stanton tells Jemina that Veto is something called a Shade (basically a ghost) that has been animated by the Atrox for some higher plan to bring about the downfall of the Daughters of the Moon.
Jemina refuses to believe it. But she can't deny the fact that it does seem that Cassandra has some big plan. And the fact that even the Inner Circle (most powerful of the Atrox fallowers) have taken an interest in the plan.
It also doesn't help that Jemina can't help but be attracted to Serena's brother Collin. But will she choose Collin over Veto????
And in the end, will she be able to accept the truth about her love? Will Veto betray her? Will the Daughters of the Moon survive?

GREAT book! I really like Jemina. She is the really strong, independant type, and that makes her fun to read about.

Summary: Jimena, the gangster goddess
Review: Veto, Jimena's boyfriend who had died a year back, has risen from the dead. One night, Jimena and Veto bumps into Stanton and Serena and Stanton recognizes Veto. Why is that? Jimena finds out that he made a deal......and it isn't good.

Summary: Straight Reppin'
Review: Well I thought that this book and part 7 are the best books. I liked this one in particular becasue I like the Jimena presents herself. Also being Mexican myself I admire her and her character. they give good insight to her past and the authour really knows the street life.
