Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: It was a fairly good book. I have read many of the Redwall series, and although this was good, it was lacking a bit. I recommend a few of the other Redwall series books instead, but it was enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: My favorite book ever Review: This is my favorite book. I don't know how to explain it it's just so goooood!
Rating: Summary: Good but not GREAT Review: "Tansy Pansy toggle-doo BOO! " great lines like this are great battle sequences are what the REDWALL books so good. They are so vivid and MR. Jacques is one of the BEST AUTHORS EVER! Every child should read these excellant REDWALL books they have everything a work of literature needs. All those other "classics" that are boring are nothin compared to this Series! Ok now im done about the series on to the book......This book is about a young maiden named Tansy and her quest for ........non other then.........The Pearls Of Lutra! Yes believe it thats right! While at the same time Martin the second(yes the second not the first one, although they have the same personalities).Clecky the hare, Grath the otter and 2 more (i dont remember who who) go to the island Ublaz...This is a decent book but I think that the lack of battle really takes away something that could have been AWESOME! (perhaps the last 75 pages would have been good!). Aside from that this is a very good book and should not be missed by any Redwall fan!
Rating: Summary: Brian Jacques Best To-Date Review: Although I am a senior in high school, I decided to catch up in the Redwall series, as they have always been good entertainment. Redwall, though written for young adults (e.g. junior high age kids) is a wonderfully imaginitive series. "Pearls of Lutra" is, I feel, the best of the Redwall books to date (followed closely by the other four best novels in the series, "Salamandastron", "Mossflower", "Mattimeo", and "Martin the Warrior".) "Pearls" has the most complex plot of any of the books, with multiple story lines, and great scenes of adventure, and intrigue. There are many great twists to the plot. The book also has literary value, presenting the idea that friends are more important than wealth and beauty. For any veteran Redwallers out there, as well as those new to the series, "Pearls of Lutra" is definitely a pearl worthy of the Redwall name.
Rating: Summary: Brian Jacques' Best! Review: I've been reading the Redwall books for a long time and this has got to be the best one yet! The interesting plot and last minute interuptions keep the suspense running in your blood. I highly recommend it for the avid Redwall reader. It's good for those long car trips as well...
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: I really liked this book. I think that even though it is said to be for 9-12 yr. olds it is can be challenging and interesting for anybody. My favorite parts were when Tansy and Rollo looked for the pearls using Fermald the Ancient's clues. The only problem is that the ending is revealed alredy if you have read some of the other Redwall books.
Rating: Summary: The Pearls of Lutra Review: The pearl of Lutra is a great book. It has a great plot andcharacters you will remember forever. It is about an otter whosefamily was slaughtered by sea rats and about a squirrel from Redwall Abbey who needs to find 6 pearls in order to free Redwall's abbot from the evil emperor Ublaz.
Rating: Summary: Pearls of Lutra Review: The title of this book is Pearls of Lutra by Brian Jacques. It was a very good book like all the Redwall books. What I liked about this book is that it had plenty of adventure and mysteries. The main idea is that an otters whole family and all her friends were mercilessly slaughtered so a greedy king could have 6 pearls. So now as the only one in her family left, she set out to take revenge on vermin everywhere.
Rating: Summary: Intriguing Review: I could not put it down. It was very well written and intense. I like all the books from Brian Jaques, but my brother,...well, we won't go into that
Rating: Summary: The best Redwall story yet! Review: What makes Pearls of Lutra so great are the riddles. This really gets your mind going, and is remarkably funny as well! It's a story of courage and friendship like all the other Redwall books. My favorite!
