Rating: Summary: Pearls of Lutra is a classic Redwall series book Review: The Pearls of Lutra is about six gorgeous pearls. They are stolen from the otter Holt Lutra by the searats of Sampetra. One of the searats betrays his own and steals the pearls fleeing to Redwall. The pearls soon become a hot topic and a classic novel.
If that doesn't sound exciting, then simply take a glance at the book. An otter with one huge arrow, and a bow. This has got to be one of Jacques's best books in the Redwall series. I highly recomend it if you like action, animals, and adventure. Even if you don't like them, you'll learn to love them.
Rating: Summary: Magnifico! Review: Whoever said this book was just average truly cannot appreciate good literature. This book was fantastic, just like all of the other books in the series. I liked the clues about where the next pearl would be and the bravery of the heroine. Brian Jaques is an awesome author and I look forward to the coming books in the series.
Rating: Summary: It is a good book, but not the best of the bunch Review: This book is definitely not the best of the Redwall series. However, it is also one that I would recommend any Redwall-crazy Brian Jaques fan to read. Mr. Jaques missed out on something in this book, and although I can't quite tell what it is, it is very obvious to any Redwall veteran. It includes, revenge, theft, trechery, bravery, and many other important factors in the plot and is not recommendable to someone who is starting out in the Redwall series. But I still praise Brian Jaques for most definitely writting another good, great Redwall book
Rating: Summary: The book and author are GREAT!!!! Review: Oh my god! You have to at least try ONE of his books...they're great! This one is good also, and one of the latest. I really reccomend it, but if you are trying out your first Brian Jacques book, you should read Mossflower because it starts the plot and legend of the series, and also, you can buy it in soft-cover so that its not so expensive

Now Tansy, a hedgehogmaid, is determined to solve each cryptic clue to find the pearls to ransom for her Abbot, now crossing the ocean to the land beyond the sun sets. A small band of woodlanders sets out to rescue their abbot from the clutches of Mad Eyes. Meanwhile, the Wave Brethen of Sampetra is uprising in mutiny... Taking off from where Mattimeo left off, this book is tenth in the series. The books, in order, are: Martin the Warrior, Mossflower, Outcast of Redwall, Mariel of Redwall, The Bellmaker, Salamandastron, The Great Redwall Feast(a storybook), Redwall, Mattimeo, and Pearls of Lutra. This brilliant series by English author Brian Jacques illustrates the saga of the inhabitants of Redwall in an unforgettable way
Rating: Summary: A wonderful book! Review: This was one of the best books by Brian Jacques
yet. I enjoyed every minute of this interesting
novel, from the search for the pearls, to the story of Grath Longfetch, to the uprising on Sampetra. Filled with adventure, laughs, and mystery, this is my favorite Redwall book, next to
Mossflower.
Rating: Summary: This book was the best novel of Redwall yet! Review: Brian Jacques has wonderful books with a twist of mystery added to it. This book was not only mysterious it was action packed. Once you read any of his books you will be transformed into an animal, and live in peacful Redwall, or many other places
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites Review: The Pearls of Lutra is my favorite Redwall book behind Mossflower. My paperback copy is completely worn out by re-reading. Out of all the Redwall books, Perals of Lutra is perhaps the most far-flung in regard to places. Much of the story is concerned with the tropical island of Sampetra, home to the pine marten Emperor Ublaz Madeyes and his moniter lizards and vermin army. And how, you may ask, does this have anything to do with Redwall Abbey? You will see as the story unfolds.
This book, in my opinion, is very well conceived with solid characters, a riveting plot, and complicated riddles surrounding the six pink pearls of Holt Lutra. What I liked about this book in particular is that it is very removed from the traditional Redwall setting. It is a nice change, because there can only be so many books about how various vermin hordes attempt to take over the Abbey and how the Redwallers miraculously fight them off each time.
More so than others, The Pearls of Lutra contained some very beautiful scenes that are lacking in other books. My favorite part in this book is most definitely the touching last exchange between the ferret Captain Romsca and Abbot Durral. Redwall books need more of this.
This is a must-read for all Redwall fans and anyone who loves a good fantasy. I am a very choosey critical reader and this book is still one of my favorites.
Rating: Summary: Pearls of Lutra - AMAZING Review: I have read all of the Redwall books and enjoyed all of them but this one is up on a pedistal, right next to Martin the Waorrior. With the riddles and story of revenge this book is enthralling. I highly recomend this book as one who is rather a Redwall expert. I have read this book 13 times and it never gets old.
Rating: Summary: Find The Pearls Of Lutra Review: In Pearls of lutra the evil Pim martin Ulba Madeyes is seek seven perals that he stole from and ottter hord he slaughtered. He tracks the perals to the abby. Where his montro lizard capture Rollo who is no the Abbey Recorder. Martin the son of Mattimeo must embark on his quest to rescue there beloved recorder. This book is full of action and graphic battles. The must solve the clues to find and locate the seven perals that the vermin brought into Redwall. A good buck with lots of action there was one part I did not like. When Skipper of the otters order Saint Nina Church to be burned to the ground. Other than this the book is fine.
