Summary: Pearls of Lutra- a surprising and great Redwall novel
Review: 'Pearls of Lutra' was, like all of Jacques' books, wonderful. I looked forward to reading it when I first picked it up, and I wasn't disappointed. The heroes are all as brave as always, and the vermin are evil and (duh) not too bright. At the end there's a little surprise, but this didn't ruin the book. I loved it. It's one of my faves.

Review: Even though this is my first Redwall book, I really liked it. It was amazing how he could keep the story going in two places at once.It was truly amazing how Mad Eyes' powers were described. What Tansy did at the end was truly profound.

Review: Pearls of Lutra is about the Tears of All Oceans, in other words, the perfect pink pearls that belonged to the otters of Holt Lutra, those brilliant pearls that everybeast wants to get their paws on. One of them is Ublaz, the treacherous pine marten whose kingdom Sampetra lies farther west than where the sun sets. Ublaz sends a ship to kill those of Holt Lutra and get hold of the pearls. Unfortunately for Ublaz, a traitor decides to keep the pearls to himself. The traitor hides out at Redwall Abbey. The traitor eventually dies, and Germald has possesion of the pearls. Eventually, Germald dies. But before she dies, she hides the pearls... and each is accompanied by a riddle. Seasons pass... Ublaz sends another ship to Redwall to get the pearls back. Instead, they take the Abbot and a young vole hostage. Along with the Grath, the last of Holt Lutra, a band of Redwallers is determined to rescue the Abbot and the vole. Review: I love this book!!! True, Martin the Second sorta seemed to be living in the shadow of his namesake, but the other characters were good. I like how they figure out the answers to the riddles, and how they find all the pearls. The seals are new, and I think they're neat too.

Review: Holt Lutraaaaaa!!!!!! Grath Longfletch and Martin make a great team, best one since the Bellmaker. Arven is the best, Toogle doo Tansy pansy i'm a likkle maggit. Exellent fight and the best set of charachters.
