Summary: Looking For A Good Book...
Review: For Bionicle fans, Scholastic recently put out a series called the Bionicle Chronicles.
There are 4 books in this new series. Each book averages 125 pages. The first in this series is called Tale of the Toa. This book is set in the ancient land of Mata Nui. Makuta, a powerful evil has risen, causing a darkness to cover the land. Six heroes called the Toa, wash ashore the beach of Mata Nui to help save the Matoran people. Their purpose is to restore peace and destroy all of the evil on Mata Nui.
I couldn't put this book down, it was so exciting. Throughout this whole story, I felt like I was part of the action. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good action/adventure story. If I could say two words about this book it would be READ IT!

Summary: For your Bionicle fan
Review: In the time before time, the Great Spirit, Mata Nui, brought the Matoran to an island paradise. But, Mata Nui's evil brother, Makuta, banished him and took control of the island. And now is the time when great heroes awake, the Toa, sent by Mata Nui to fight the darkness. But, they have arrived without memories, and they need to find the great masks that will give them the powers they need. More than that, they need to learn the three things that give the Matoran their purpose - unity, duty and destiny.

My ten-year-old son is a gigantic Bionicle fan, and he was quite happy when I brought this book home to him. In two days, he quickly devoured it, enjoying it thoroughly. I read the book as well, and thought it was quite well written. Though the Bionicles are toys, the book is a good story that can be enjoyed for itself.

Anyway, if you have a Bionicle fan and want to do something really nice for him or her, then buy this book. Your Bionicle fan will love it as much as mine did!

Summary: my son loved it!
Review: my son is an exceptional reader. he is only six, yet he reads at a fourth grade reading level. it is, however, hard to get him to read books at that level, as they seem to be daunting to him.

this book however he burned thru in about an hour and a half. he loved it and is begging for more! if you have a young reader in your house and they are into bionicles, get them this book!

Summary: Add to the fun!
Review: My two boys (ages 5 and 6)are Bionicle crazy. I think we've bought enough Bionicles to keep the Lego business afloat on our own! They love sitting down with me on the couch and listening to me read another chapter in this tale of the Toa's beginning. I think it's a good way to use something they like and join in with them by reading to them about it. It's an expression of love from me to them. Since there are no pictures in the book I encourage them to use their minds to imagine what the pictures would be as I read to them. My 6 year old especially does this and afterwards can describe the setting of his imaginary pictures. One of my favorite things to do is read to my kids, so this book was a no-brainer for us. It has brought us lots of enjoyment!

Summary: Ravenous Review
Review: OK, I waited a long time for a Bionicle book, and we get one. Frankly, it's not really my cup of tea. It's not that it's bad, just that it's mainly reused stuff from the website and comics. It's cool for two reasons though. For one, it fleshes out the 2001 storyline more, making it a more understandable period in the Bionicle saga. It's also great to give to a friend or parent who wants to know more about the Bionicle universe. As far as enjoyable reading goes, it doesn't get many stars. It uses simple language and has a few storyline errors. Overall though, it's a fun and useful way to fill people out on the world of Bionicle.

Summary: Best Bionicle Book!
Review: This book is so badly written, it is embarrasing. Even my die hard 6 year Bionical junky didn't care that we never finished reading it. Skip it.

Summary: The First Chronicle
Review: Well this book finally arrived a few days ago and so I finished it... in less than a day. While the book does have some good moments in it, it's mainly stuff from the Bionicle Comics and Website Flash Movies. Nothing really new. If you're an absolute collecter or need some refreshing on the storyline then you might want to check this out from a library. I'm going to get the other two just because I want to read about the "never seen before" stuff.

Boils down to this: It's good to rent if you're new or need a memory jog, but otherwise it's just rent.
