Its better they find out from a book(my suggestion is have them read it with a mother or female mentor) than to finf out from someone who will lie to them. This book is smartly put together, so it can keep all ages interested. Great colours, great sectioning in the book BUY BUY BUY

Summary: Very Informative! To bad it wasn't out when I was 12
Review: I work at a bookstore and I noticed that a lot of young middle school girls were buying this book. So out of curiosity I bought one for myself and took it home. Let me say that it tells you EVERYTHING....Every single question you have about being a teen girl is answered in that book. From your body (and even the yucky parts about it) to your brain (emotional problems) and this isn't a little corny valley girl book. And now that I am 17 I thought I knew it all, I thought it was almost over because when I turned 18 being a teen girl would turn into a legal adult girl. But even my stubborn self learned a great deal. It has a lot of pictures and descriptions and comments from other teen girls. If your a parent I suggest you buy this for your young preteen (even 10 year olds!) we all need to be prepared for this time in our lives and there are some things you just can't talk about with your parents... In a nutshell this is one of the best books I've ever read.

Review: The book covers a wide variety of subjects important to teens, however I did have to rip out the pages on perfoming oral sex on a guy before I gave the book to my daughter. I don't think she needs to learn that at age 30, let alone age 12.

Review: Okay, you may object to contents of this book, it is pretty explicit, but wouldn't you rather find out the REAL facts rather than hearing about it (it meaning oral sex, 69, what happens to a guy during sex, etc) rather than through the grapevine. here it gives it to you straightforward which is the best approach! 100% reccommended for all teens!

Review: I'm tellin you, i thought i knew most of the info and after reading this book i learned i had a far way to go.... Every teen girl should have this book, its worth it. (GET IT ON AMAZON ITS CHEAP) Yeah there is some "mature" stuff in the book but hey a girls gonna find out somehow!

Summary: GREAT! (for younger girls, that is)
Review: I bought the Gurl book after knowing about the Gurl website for quite some time. Luckily, this book fills it all in. I was impressed by all the information on everything a girl needs to know, all about sex, pregnancy, depression, parents, etc. etc. I think I'm maybe a little too old for the book now (I'm 18) but I'd totally recommend it for 12-16 year-olds. Some parents might not like the content (it discusses oral sex, etc.) but a girl's gonna learn about it some time, so it might as well be in a healthy, factual way. Definitely worth the money.
