Summary: A Great Book For All Ages!!!
Review: This book is a great book for all ages. It is about Ms. Taylor's life as a child. It is also about Mrs. Lee Annie who stands for her right to vote, and who is dragged from her home because she stood up for what she believed in. I personaly think that this book is moving and touching. Now I understand how hard and terrible it was for her and her family. That is why I gave this book five stars.

Summary: The best book
Review: This book is one of the best in the series. I suggest that if you want to read this read Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry first. Mildred D. Taylor is a very good author. In this book T.J. does get his trial, but I wont tell you the outcome, and Cassie's cousin, Suzella, comes and they don't become friends very quickly. You are introduced to new families and on eperson tries to vote evwn thought they're black. This is a great book.

Summary: A review written by me!
Review: This book is a really touching book about how a family stays toghether even through the toughest of times. When other people are bieng driven from thier homes, they stay together no matter what. I do reccomend this book to all people who are interested in historical-fiction books. This and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, are two of the best books I have ever read and I hope that you also get a chance to read and enjoy it.

Summary: Gifted author makes you live the story
Review: Mildred Taylor, through these books, and this one in particular, gave me, a white woman born two generations later, an understanding of what it was like to be black in the South in the 1930's. I think it was through this book that I began to understand that slavery didn't end as a result of the Civil War. It was renamed "sharecropping," and allowed to continue, probably to some degree until the Civil Rights movement.

The story of TJ Avery was moving. TJ was framed for a murder committed by two white men, then tried in court before an all white Southern jury, people who seemed to presume that the value of black people was similar to the value of farm animals. They were equipment to be used and discarded. What justice was there for them in that environment?

I learned to empathize while reading with their plight. Somehow, though, that wasn't difficult or a chore. I enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down. I would urge anyone who hasn't read them to read all three of the books in this series. They are worthwhile reading, indeed.

Summary: Review - Let the Circle Be Unbroken
Review: Cassie and her family are going through hard times, but a fire mysteriosly starts and burns a good quater of their cotton, and T.J. is about to be lynched, so they do their best to stay together, then other tradgedies pop-up that could cause heart-ache, lose of land and even death. I agree with how the author wrote the story. It's in the eyes of an 11-year-old-girl growing up in 1934. A time of Great Depression and segregation. She writes what she thinks a child of that time would think about the bitter world and it's inhabitants. I would recommend this book to someone who can actually face the truth. And will be affected by it but not take prejudice or harm against it.

Summary: A tear jerker
Review: This book is a continuation of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. In this book, Stacey's friend T.J. is brought to an all-white trial and charged with murdering. I usually never cry by books, but I cried and cried by this one. It is so moving and so lifelike. Mildred D. Taylor writes in passive and heart-wrenching tones that make this book a real page-turner. I recommend it highly to anyone, and also be sure to read the prequel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, and the third book, The Road To Memphis.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good, but disappointing in parts
Review: I sat down and read this book in about 1 1/2 hours. I reallyliked the beginning, when a black boy must go to trial and face anall-white jury. I think that showed really well how unfairly blacks were treated in the 1930's. From there, the book went down a little. There were some exciting events, but nothing moved me or really made me feel good/bad, as "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry,"(the prequel) did. I would highly recommend this book anyway, but don't be prepared for high emotions and powerful writing.

Summary: This book is very good!
Review: I think that this book shows how the black people were treated during the 1930's. It shows how hard life was during the depression. The Logan's family is a family that shows love and caring. Even after all of the events happened that found a way to be together. They saw one of their best friends go to trial, and they see how people get in trouble for acting white even if they are not. Overall, this was a great book.

Summary: This book was awesome!
Review: I rate this book 5 stars because it is a good tale of making and breaking friendships. I also rated it a 5 star because I liked how the author made it seem like everyone but Cassie liked Suzella at first and I think that it is very hard to do. I think that you need to get to know someone a little better before you call them your friend or hate them. I liked this book, as I've already said. I liked it because I think the way the author mixed in a real life setting, the way that black people were treated during the 1930s, and a story on making friends, was a very good switch. I also liked this book because it put some hardships of the Logan family in with some of the good times the family had. A book I would consider to read is "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry." "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry" is the prequel to this book. Another book I would consider is "The Road to Memphis." It is a sequel to "Let the Circle Be Unbroken" and is by the same author with the same characters, but it takes place few years later.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: AN EXTREMELY INTERESTING READ
Review: Mildred Taylor has most certainly out done herself when she wrote this unbeliably touching book! Not only did she touch on sensitive points that you never thought you would be able to understand unless you lived during that particular period of time, but she also brought a realiness to the book that made you both laugh and cry.I would recomend this book to anyone.
