Rating: Summary: I thought Let the Circle Be Unbroken was great! Review: Recently my class read a book by Mildred D. Taylor called Let the Circle Be Unbroken, a sequel to Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. As a student that goes to Jackson Middle School, I believe the book was great but emotional. I liked the T.J. Avery trial but I didn't think it was fair. There were hateful things done but you feel like you're there and you never want to let go of the book. It was in Mississippi in the 1930's with a racial demostration and the family encountered many conflicts. I liked where Mrs. Lee Annie Lee stood up for blacks and went to regristeto vote. I would recommend everyone to read this because it's a great book for anyone. That's what I think about the wonderful story Let the Circle Be Unbroken!
Rating: Summary: Let The Circle Be Unbroken Review: The title of this book is Let The Circle Be Unbroken. The auther of this book is Mildred Taylor and this book takes place in the 1930's. It is about a family named the logans and all their troubles like getting arrested and gets trown off their land. What I liked about this book is that they are seriouse about almost everything and don't want anyone to be hurt. I think this book would be perfect for kids to read.
Rating: Summary: BORING Review: I was forced to read this book for my Reading class. It was way to long and confusing. No body in my class enjoyed this book.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL FOR TEENS!!! Review: THIS WAS A VERY HISTORICAL AND EMOTIONAL BOOK. SINCE THE SETTING IS MISSISSIPPI IN THE 1930S, THERE ARE MANY CONFLICTS AND HATEFUL THINGS SAID AND DONE BY THE WHITE PEOPLE TO THE BLACK PEOPLE. YOU GET THE POINT OF VIEW FROM AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD BLACK GIRL NAMED CASSIE. MANY TRAUMATIC THINGS HAPPEN TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. AS YOU READ THIS BOOK YOU PRACTICALLY FEEL LIKE YOU'RE THERE EXPERIENCING THIS HISTORY WITH THE FAMILY. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO TEENS, ESPECIALLY TEENS THAT LIKE HISTORY.
Rating: Summary: The most thrillng and emotianal book you'll read Review: Let the Circle be Unbroken is a book that you will take into your hands and never want to let go of. The Logan's become your family, and when they are feeling hurt, so are you. The eople living in this small town face racial discrimination everyday of their lives because they are black, but none-the-less they stick together. Life in Mississippi in the 1930's can be happy too. When you realize what some people go through, you are greatful for every breath you take. If you like fatasy books, this book is not for you. Although, if you love realistic and emotional books, Let the Circle be Unbroken and you would be a perfect match. As a seguel to Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry, the conflict picks up and rises throughout the book. Personally, I think this book is fantastic. I recomend that you read the prequel first. This book was the best i've read in a long time

Rating: Summary: A wonderful novel Review: I really enjoyed the book Let The Circle Be Unbroken. I thought that it was very well written. All of the characters are very realistic. It was one of the best books that I have ever read. If you like books that are emotional, historic, telling, well written, and factual, then this book is for you. You too will fall in love with the story.
Rating: Summary: Let the circle be unbroken review Review: This book, let the circle be unbroken,is a very good book. Though it is serious, it teaches how hard it was for African Americans to live during this period of time, in the south. This book has hard things happening all the time but the logan family always sticks together to get through all of their problems. I liked this book, because it wasn't boring, something was always happening and it made you want to keep reading. Some of the scenes refer back to the other scenes so it makes the scene cool relizing why something happened. If you are thinking about reading this book I would rekamend reading the first one first to make the seconded book make more sense. The other book is called Roll of thunder hear my cry. I think it is easier to get into the book Let the circle be unbroken.
Rating: Summary: A definite read! Review: This is a great book that is full of action and feelings. As you go through this book, page by page, you really become close with the Logan family. After the first book (Roll of Thunder here my Cry) leaves you hanging with an emotional tragedy this is a must read. You find out what happens with T.J and how Moe and Cassie and Stacy are doing. THis book, like Roll of Thunder Here My Cry, is told from Cassie's point of view, but Stacy really is the main character...This book symbolizes power, fear and love as the second of the Logan trilagy continues. I highly recomend this book to anyone who is interested in history, realistic fiction and humor. Enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: An OK, But Very Slow Book Review: Let the Circle Be Unbroken is a facinating book if you liked the prequil, Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. Personally, I didn't really much care for either of them. This book takes place in the year 1935, and focuses on an 11 year-old girl named Cassie, who is learning more and more about racism and how it affects her life and the world around her. Let the Circle Be Unbroken takes off from where the last one left off, with T.J. Avery still in jail, waiting for his day at court. It was nice to know what happened to T.J., who was accused of murder. Well it turns out that he was found guilty by the all-white jury. Then Cousin Suzella comes to the Logan household. Suzella's father isn't very respected because he married a white woman and had a daughter. Suzella tries and almost succeedes to pass for white, but due to Stacey's friend, some white boys find out and there are embarrassing consequences. Then Mrs. Lee Annie tries to vote, and is regected and thrown off her land, with her grandsons and niece. This book revolves around racism and has some action, but it really goes kind of slow.
