Review: In this, another installment in the beloved Redwall series, readers have found a true gem of a book. Full of vivid characters, luscious foods, and amazing scenes, Brian Jaques has made another masterpiece. I am a huge Redwall fan. I own all the books. It is hard to choose a favorite. The Long Patrol is definitely up there. How can anyone help but love the bally ol' hares, wot wot! Cregga Rose Eyes is without a doubt my favorite character in the series. Her ferocity surprised me and she is a strong female character. Only Jaques could spin such a good story, with such good characters. Critics will probably ravage this book for the usual sins- the plots are all the same, the characters are too perfect. I must admit, the bad guys are evil, and the good guys are good. What do you expect? This is an excellent fantasy, and if you read the book and enjoy fantasy, you will find that this fact does not matter. The characters still seem almost as if you know them. Also, the plot is unlike any of the others in the Redwall books. If you are looking for an enjoyable peace of fantasy fiction that includes vivid details, excellent characters, and engaging action and plots, you should read The Long Patrol.

Review: This is a truly wonderful bit of work that is at once compelling and mystifying. Brian Jacque writes about Fantasy in which animals are personified to the extreme. The writing is quite good, but extremely taxing to read. Indeed, only readers who are returning to the series will be at all able to follow mole speech without going over it a few times, and the intricate language of hares seems little better. The story itself is quite good, and the only thing separating this novel from a fifth star is the surprising, and uncharacteristically sloppy introductions for so many of the characters. If you like the other novels of Redwall buy this book. If you have not read any of the others, perhaps Redwall, or Mossflower would be a better place to begin.

Review: At the climax of the Redwall series, the Long Patrol is clearlya book that will withstand the ages. As you picture yourself ingallant battles with valiant heroes, such as Tammo and the "absoballylutely" hilarious Long patrol, you will long to be an inhabitant of Mossflower . A challenging book for heavy-duty fantasy lovers, it will never be forgotten.

Review: This book is such a good book, that I have read it six times. Each time I am still amazed and fascinated as if it was the first time I have read the book. Brian Jacques takes amazing characters and knows just where to put a turn of events. When I read Brian Jacques books, I feel as if I am in the book playing a character just like his. If I am reading of a great warrior, I feel like a warrior. If I am reading about the abbess or abbot of Redwall, I feel like one. This book is one of the few books that has that effect. The Long Patrol is a book not able to put into words. I was not able to put this book down. I pick it up in the morning and finish it that same night. Brian Jacques has created another masterpiece.

Review: This is definitely one of Brian Jacques' best Redwall works,and I have read all of them. It is a wonderful weave of suspense,mystery, humor, and total adventure. I LOVE it. Many parts made mecry, and others made me laugh SO hard. Tammo is the funniest hare in the book! And the excitement in both sides of the story - Tammo's and the Rapscallions' - are SO exhilirating, especially in the war. Naturally, as in all Redwall books, some creatures die, but hey, this is Brian Jacques we're talking about. The picture he paints with his words I swear are just like watching it on a big screen TV. This is the one of the best books I've ever read!

Unlike other books, lot of main charcters die...whic makesa LOT of sense...well...nearly all the Brian Jaques books do anyway...! If you are not a brian jaques' fan, trying reading this book~! It will make you to be no matter what happens! A story with little, brave hare Tammo, and a story that tells you about friendship, war...and love! END
