Rating: Summary: An Adventurous Book Review: This book is very adventourous, dramatic, and there's alot of action. This book starts out every where. In the end all of them meet at a certian place and they fight the evil Urgan, Nagru and his evil henchmen. In the story King Gael is held captive in his own palace by Nagru. While Gael is held captive two worriors were exploring, Dandin and Mariel, they encounter many allys and other animals. When they were also thrown in the dungeon they had one poupose it was to defeat Nagru. Why I like this book is because it's full of adventure and action. There's alot of killing and finding new things. Like this quote from the book," Bet I wipe out more vermin than you do, marm, wot?" They think taking lives from rat's is a game and I like that. What I also like about this book is that you feel like your in the action like your fighting the bad guys and when your men die you get mad or sad. In this book there are many dramatic parts like when Finnbarr died it was very dramatic it's like a good friend dieing, when you're into the book. Here's another quote,"Turn me t'face the west. That's the direction the sea lays in, ain't it?" Or when Fatch died trying protecting Rufe that was sad too. My favorite part of the book is when all the animals come to fight the evil Nagru and his henchmen. It was a great battle all those rats died and some they surrendered and they were turned into slaves. The part when Finnbarr killed Nagru it was awsome but at the same time sad because Finnbarr died because Nagru's henchmen shoved a spear into Finnbarr's body and he was slowly dieing.
Rating: Summary: The Bellmaker Review: The Bellmaker is the best book I've ever read. It is just so packed with adventure and old language like Ahoy! Or when the moles talk "hurr oi doint know abot thies zurr". Sometimes you cant put it down. I know I couldn't until my mom forced me to bed. Every Saturday and Sunday morning I would sit up in bed and read instead of smashing my face into the pillow and trying to fall back to sleep. Grant Langford
Rating: Summary: The Best Book in the Redwall Series Review: "The Bellmaker" is, in my opinion, the best book in the Rewall series. Joseph the Bellmaker is worried about his daughter Mariel and her companion, Dandin, three years after they went journeying. In those three years, he has heard nothing from them. So, he meets with Finnbarr Galedeep, a sea otter, and they go south to Southsward, which is under the control of the evil Urgan Nagru, also known as the foxwolf. Now, Joseph and Finnbarr must fight to retake Southsward, with the hepl of Mariel and Dandin...
Rating: Summary: YEAH! EXCELLENT BOOK! Review: This book is a great read. Partly because of the wonderful action scenes which grip and are told in the great mold of classic medievil fantasy. It has good action scenes, the best action scenes that I've ever read in the redwall series. The characters are, once again, fully developed and naturally written by Brian Jacques in a fashion thats so good, that the characters are a good reason just to pick up the book in general. If you like books, then read this. Most Redwall books are kind of carried on, but this book rocks. It's one of my faves, and I'm sure it'll be yours as well.
Rating: Summary: Ages Nine to Ninety! Review: I loved this book! Not only are the Redwall books my favorite series, this book has many plots going at once with lots of original characters! Personally I love having many confusing 'mini-stories' going on at once, but a young reader may be intimidated. I think that if you are nine to ninety, you'd love this book!
Rating: Summary: The Bellmaker Review: The Bellmaker is a very exciting book to read. It starts off with the Foxwolf's clan of 300 armed vermin, sailing southward to to capture the Castle of Gael the Squirrel King. After that, it goes into the Bellmaker's dream that his daughter, Mariel was in great danger. So he sets out like Martin the Warrior tells him to, but also, Martin said that "four will ride the Roaringburn, but only for e'er out of five will return." So does that mean that one of the five will die in battle with the Foxwolf? Read it and find out! I liked the battle which was when everybody swarmed toward the castle that Foxwolf took over, and everybody from the castle swarmed and they fought. Only Joseph the Bellmaker, Meldrum, Dandin, and others, went in the castle to save Rab, Mariel, and Muta. They ended up fighting Foxwolf's highest executive, Silvamord, and her horde. Arrows flew with javelins, lances, and spears at the battle field. It was a wild dance of death, which made it very cool and exciting, and nobody in the southward army cared if the lived, so everybody had bloodwrath in them which made them diffcult to defeat them. That was what I liked about the book. What I didn't like was when Gael kept in the Foxwolf for hospitilaty. Instead, Foxwolf took over and put his family in the dungeon. That's just sad, when I read that, it was very painful. Later, I got mad at the squirrel king, he was a very foolish mule. I wouldn't have done that, if were him I would let the Foxwolf stay outside and starve. That was what I didn't like about the book.
Rating: Summary: BELLMAKER! Review: this is a great book to say the least all the charicters from Redwall abbey come back into the picture it is one of the best books in the series.
Rating: Summary: Loved this book! Review: Absolutely love these books! I enjoy the rich details, the three dimensional characters, the development of both plot and characters, the little shimmers of humor that run constant through the book... I love how each character has his or her own voice, personality, and way of though--so much to the point that you can hear them in your head as you read, as if a movie is going on instead of merely reading. It's wonderful! I highly recommend this series to anyone who has any like for nature; even if it is only the like of fresh air, blue skies, and a vibrant, silver-laced sea. You needn't love mice--I didn't particularly care for rodents...but this series is really "wow"...they aren't just mice anymore, they've got souls.
Rating: Summary: The Bellmaker Review: The Bellmaker is a adventure story, but it is so sweet and sad. Each character plays a special role in the story no matter how small. This story makes me feel like I'm part of it. The characters seem so real with their emotions. I love how Brian Jaques Made a small world for his character to live in and how no character is forgotten as the series goes on. I hope the auther can produce more books with the characters of this book and make me become part of the world of Redwall again!
Rating: Summary: AHO SHIPMATES! a report done by Robbie Fowler Review: the Bellmaker starts out when the foxwolf, Urgan Nagru and his mate, Silvamord and their army of rats take over Castle Floret and including the region Southward. Mariel and her friend Dandin {the two warriors' from the book Mariel Of Redwall} journey from Redwall to Southward themselves. they meet a young hedgehog named Bowly Pintins who joins them. they run into a group of rats who are terrorizing some moles. Mariel fights them and is stuck in a dangerous position, {She has a dagger to the leader's throat but their's another rat with a crossbow behind her}. meanwhile, in Redwall abbey. the Bellmaker is getting strange messages from Martin the Warrior through his own dreams. he learns that he must go to Southward and help Mariel, for she and Dandin are in danger. it is yet again, Brian Jacques writes another Redwall masterpiece. i like this book for the fact it is a sea adventure. the best character i think is Dandin. i like him since he's funny and a great warrior. i think Brian should write more Redwall book's that are like this.
