Summary: GREAT!
Review: wonderful book! only downfall is that one chapter is huge! if you are like me and read one chapter a night or so prepare to be sitting in bed for a long time. otherwise it's a great book and the girl (Dicey) really uses her brain to pull through.

Summary: Stuck in a Rut
Review: This book was really good! I liked it a lot, but I think it could have had a better ending. It was full of adventure! The main characters were Dicey(13), James(10), Maybeth(9), and Sammy(6). There was also Grandma and Cousin Eunice. First, the children were abandoned by their mother. Next, they began their long journy to Aunt Cilla's house in Bridgeport. They find their Cousin Eunice there and stay with her for a while. Then they begin their journey to Crisfield to find their grandmother. I think that there could have been more added to the ending of the story so we knew what happened.

Summary: Homeless with No Money
Review: I think that this was one of the best books ever. It was full of adventure. In the book, four children and their mother are going to their Aunt Cilla's house. On the way to her house, momma stopped at the mall. When Momma went into the mall she told the three smallest children James(10),Maybeth(8),and Sammy(6)to mind Dicey(13). That night when Momma didn't come back from the mall Dicey went out to use the pay phone and she was seen by a secerity gaurd, and he thought that she was a boy. They talked and Dicey ran, she outran the security gaurd and told the smaller children to go to sleep. The next day Dicey decided that the would walk to Aunt Cilla's. When the children left the only had eleven dollars. On the way to Aunt Cilla's the children are faced with many hard choices. But when they get there they find someone else. That is why I liked this book.

Review: The book Homecoming is a real good adventure story. It is a story with four kids named Dicey, Maybeth, James, and Sammy. Their dad left them before Sammy was born. Their mom said they were going to Bridgeport to stay with their Aunt Cilla. Their mom stopped at a mall and said that Dicey is in charge, and she never came out. I think it was a good story of bravery and courage.

Summary: The BEST of the BEST
Review: This book is....the Best. I'm speechless. The book was catchy, I couldn't stop. It was the best of the best.
Have you ever been abandoned by your mother when you were at a shopping mall? Probably not. Four kids, 6 to 13 were left at a mall all by themselves. Little money, less food, and no-where to stay. The oldest, Dicey was the leader of the group while they traveled. They went to anyone for help, except the police. Money was the worst problem. Any way for Dicey to earn the money, she did it. Traveling with strangers and walking for miles were the only ways for transportation, the bus rates were too high. They went to a couple of reletives they didn't even know to see if they could stay. Could They? Would they be accepted as a bunch of runaways? Read this VERY exciting, edge of your seat book!
