Summary: Bore Yourself To Sleep
Review: This book was SO boring. Here is an example of a conversation: "Dicey, where's Mommy?" "I don't know." "I'm worried. I miss mommy." "Shut-up Sammy. There is nothing for certain except death and the speed of light." That's all that happened just them rambling on about missing mommy throughout the whole book. And the author was TOO descriptive. I mean I like a descriptive book, but this was absolutely ironic. Very dull.

And all the way they still sing to believe that they will make it

Review: I cannot believe how great the book really was. I just can't express my enthralment in the plot, characters, and phraseoligy. This was a book so much indepth with circumstances lyable to happen. Once I read the first sentence, I was hooked

Review: Homecoming is marvelous book! After you read a few pages you feel you're there, standing right with Dicey, James, Maybeth, and Sammy. Cynthia Voigt did a great job describing the events that happened. You can understand what the characters are feeling and what they are going through! When the characters do something wrong you feel like yelling at them.This story will help you remember just how lucky you are

Review: And still they sang, the Tillerman's did. Despite the hurdles they had crossed, in spite of the ones yet to come. Cynthia Voigt weaves this tale of love and trust, taking chances, and growing up too soon. The Tillerman's: Dicey, stong, stubborn, take charge, and scared...despite all outward appearences, of making a mistake. James, smart and confused. Sammy, stubborn, strong, and worried that it is his fault. And Maybeth, slow, beautiful, shy and trusting. The trial starts when they are left in a mall parking lot, their mother, having forgotten about them. Dicey decides to lead them south, to an aunt they have never met, and a place they hope to call home. As they walk they meet many people along the way, some friends, some not. Dicey worries about where to sleep, who to trust, and how to feed her brothers and sister. Yet through it all they sing. When the they get to their Aunts house, things don't quite work out as planned. Sammy, strong willed is at risk of being sent to a foster home, Maybeth, slow and shy is at risk of being placed in a school for mentally handicapped. Dicey, who came so far to find a home for ALL of them, realizes that it won't be here. So they set out again. For a different home, with a grandmother, they never knew existed, and who never knew about them. In Homecoming, Cynthia Voigt tells this masterful story, of coming home. And through it all, they sang.

Review: An enjoyable book with fasinating characters, two lovable boys, and two breath taking girls. Adventures in the woods or on the road; Dicey, Sammy, James and Maybeth can take you there. For a family, a student, or teacher-it's a great book. mc,ab,cc Four children are abandoned by their mother. They walk for days to their aunt's house and live with their cousin. Soon they leave for their grandmothers's house. They want to live there, but their grandma doesn't want them. They have no where to go. llk

Review: Cynthia Voight is my favourite author. I love all her books. My favourite character is Sammy he is so innocent. I recommend reading "When She Hollers" also by Cynthia Voigh

Review: I think homecoming is a good book. It is about four kids named dicey, Maybeth,James, and Sammy. Every cristmas their aunt cilla sends them a card, so they diced to go see her. When they where on thier way to Birgport thier mother wento the mall and told them tostay in the car while she go in.Then seh told James Maybeth and Sammy to obay Dicey and do what she says to do. They watied a long time and she never came back. So Dicey said lets start walking to Brigeport and maybe mom will be thier. days and days went by and they finly made it to thier Aunt cilla house. When they got thier they found out that thier Aunt cilla was dead and thiercousin unice stayed thier, also that thier mother was not thier. So days later they got tired of staying thier so thye decied to go see thier grandmother. They found out that thier grandmother was mean until they got tokonw her. But they now live with thier Grandmother.
