Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I have to read the sequal!!! Review: The book was so great I couldn't put it down! It makes me think of how you can survive when you have to. It was a book I'll never forget.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is an extraordinary novel. Review: Life holds unexpected surprises. In The Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt, there are some crazy things people do. A woman leaves her four kids in a car by themselves and walks off into a crowded mall. Dicey, Sammy, James, and Maybeth are now all alone, and have to get to their aunt's house, or find some permanenant shelter quickly. Everything gets out of hand. What will Dicey do when she has to take care of a stuburn, misbehaving six year old, a non-talking little girl, an intelligent ten year old, and has to clean the house fully everyday! How will she manage?
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: great adventure book, highly recomended Review: This was a wonderfull book, even though I left it on the plane. I plan on getting another one. It's really interesting how Dicey manages to get her family to their aunt's house and how she deals with what she finds there. I recomend this book to anyone who likes adventures. Anyway it's a great book so don't get discoureged if it gets kind of boring becaus it gets better as you go allong.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: This was a wonderful story of survival and adventure. Review: Hi, I'm only 10 and I read Homecoming. It was a great book. It took me a long time to read and it was a bit difficult, but I finished it a thought it was really good. I really reccomend this book to good readers that are 10 year old or average older readers. This book was a good reading experience for me and I very much enjoyed it.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This book should never be forced on todays teens. Review: This was the worst book i have ever read. It was so boring. Not much happened in the plot. It talked about one subject too long and used choppy sentences. Dicey was a weird charachter telling everyone she was a boy that is dumb and it just had no point but to tell that they eat sleep walk and find their grandmother. I feel sorry for you teens forced to read this book. It could have been shorter and gotten the same old story across. It seemed endless and very boring i would have returned the book and gotten something worth my while if i didnt have to read it in Literature for test grades! I hope that this book is banished from the face of this earth!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Pretty good good, but I've read better.... Review: I read this book in sixth grade for a report. The start was really good. The middle was okay. The end stunk!!! I just couln't bear to finish it (but I had to or else I would get an F). They barely had any problems! Unless you call wimpy Mr. Rudyard a problem. If that is his attempt at kidnapping children, it is pitiful. Then they meet Gram. She was okay, but could have refused a lot longer. The end was dull. I almost fell asleep but made it (by the way, I got a 95%, an A, on my report). Right now I'm reading Dicey's song for another report and cannot finish it. When I do, check for my summary on Amazon. I bet it was have one star, from what I've read so far.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is wonderful!! Review: I really liked this book. I have read it over and over. I like it because it is a book that deals with some things in real life. Even though Dicey didn't have much money and doesn't know what to do she leads her two brothers, Sammy and James, and her sister, Maybeth, to their aunt's house after thier mother leaves them in the car at a mall parking lot and doesn't come back. I can not imagine doing what she did. This book really makes you think about how good you really have it. I think Viogt did a wonderful writing this book. I would recomend it to everyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: You won't be able to put it down! Review: Dicey is a truly amazing character. Cynthia Voight does a great job of making you feel like you're their, and that Dicey really exists. Her siblings each have distinctive personalities also. This isn't just about her going to find a home and taking care of her sister and brothers(which is a lot) this book shows love and integrity without actually telling you a moral. I recommend that all avid readers take a look at this!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: I think Homecoming was a great book. Review: I liked the book Homecoming. I think it was a great book. It is a great way to teach young adults to be responsible. Dicey was a very responcible girl. She took care of her brothers and sister like they were her own. I think you would like this book very much. a
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I loved reading this book! Review: Homecoming is a wonderful book about four siblings - Dicey, James, Maybeth, and Sammy. They are abandoned by their mother, and with no father to turn to, they head for their Aunt Cilla's house with Dicey, a brave thirteen-year-old girl, leading the way. The four children encounter problems all through their long journey - even starvation. The story is filled with detail and adventure, and I would recommend it to any pre-teen or teenager who enjoys reading!
