Rating: Summary: I thought that this book was a very well book Review: I thought that this book really told about daily life and was very artistic with its style. Even though some parts are boring the rest of it makes up for that. I like that not a lot of authors choose this topic and it was very unique. I would definetly reccommend this book to someone
Rating: Summary: Long but interesting Book Review: I think this book was cool. It's a exciting and adventurious book. I liked how she made money to feed her siblings and the way she lived like a gypsy. I always wondered what would be on the next page. I recommend the sequel of this book called "Dicey's song". This is one of my favourite books.
Rating: Summary: Well Written Review: This book was great! The beginning was definitely the best part of the book, as I found the middle to be a bit slow. Very descriptive, wonderfully written, beautiful characters. I admit, it did ramble just a touch, but that's beside the point. You will probably enjoy how the author shows Dicey's sense of leadership. The beginning will have you page-turning, wondering exactly what the situation is. The end isn't too bad. The book may get a tab confusing unless you really pay attention. I recommend for people ages 10 + up. Nice book! Give it a try!

Rating: Summary: A Shimmering Book Review: In this novel, Cynthia Voight described how abandoned kids live. Dicey, Sammy, James, and Maybeth, were waiting for their mother in their car at a shopping mall. They waited for hours. Finally, they figured that theur mother left them. Dicey had to make the all the decisions - where to sleep, feed heer siblings, and who to trust. Dicey decided to take them to their Aunt Cilla's home, Aunt Cilla lived a few towns away. They traveled their little by little. They once stayed on the beach. When they left the beach, they traveled somemore. One night while they were walking, a man came and said that he could take them to his apartment. They trusted him. He gave them food, and beds to sleep. In the morning, he took them to their Aunt Cilla's home. when they got there they found out she was dead. Her daughter, Cousin Eunice was there. She took them in. She gave them clothes, fed them, and sended them to school. One day Cousin Eunice revealed her secret, she wanted to be a nun before Dicey, Sammy, James, and Maybeth came. Dicey saved some money up so she can take her siblings and herself to their grandmother's house. When they arrived at their grandmother's house, they decided to stay their.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't stop Listening! Review: I listened, rather than read, this book. This is not something I do often with fiction, but I enjoyed it enormously. My 12 year old daughter read Dicey's Song in class in the Fall, and I had not read that along with her so I was thrilled when a friend loaned me the tapes she had borrowed from the library! What a story! Written in a style that evokes the physical locations the children visit. Makes me wonder what adults must be thinking -- where was the help these children needed. In the end, of course, Dicey's (the oldest's child's) instincts are correct and they end up where, I believe, they belonged all along. They would certainly not have arrived there with adult intervention -- only love guided them to their final destination. Love of family, love on one another. Love triumphs over all in the end.

Rating: Summary: One of the best I've read Review: I recently read the book "Homecoming" in my reading class. This book is one of the best I've ever read. The things that I like about the book were the decriptions of each different place that the Tillermans visited, such as Annapolis. I also liked the book because it kept me on the edge of my seat. Every time I turned the page, something new and more exciting happened. I would recommend this book to anyone with great taste in reading.
