Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A great book Review: I found this book to be very up lifting. When I first started it I thought it would be a very sad book but I could not stop reading it. I am not a person who likes to read much but I think I will read more of the author Cynthia Voight's books. It was a book that related to me. I loved this book and I really think everyone else should read it too. I am now reading Dicey's Song ( the sequelle) and it is just as good even better

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Trying To Fimd A Home Review: Homecoming is a good book about a 13 year old girl named Dicey, and her younger siblings named James, Maybeth, and Sammy Tillerman. It is about their journey to find a home. After being abandoned by their mother in-front of a shopping mall, Dicey doesn't know what to do. So she finishes what her mother started, taking all of the Tillermans to their aunts house, and scince Dicey can't drive they have to walk the hole way (about 200 miles). This story tells about the Tillermans journey to their aunts house, and about how Dicey finds shelter, food, and money for her family. I like this book because it makes you think about what you would do if you were on you own.

After being abandoned by thier mother Dicey (being the oldest) doesn't know what to do, except to finish what their mother started, taking them to their aunt's house. This book is about how Dicey feeds, finds shelter, and care for her younger brothers and sister during this long and emotional journey. I liked this book because it makes you think what would you do if you were in diceys shoes.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Homecoming Review: Homecoming Homecoming is an amazing book about four kids making their way from Rhode Island to Connecticut with only $11 and some changes in their pocket. Mrs.Tillerman abandoned her children in the car in a shopping center of a strange town. Their father was not discussed in the book, but we knew that he had left them long ago. Now it's up to their great instinct and ability to survive the wilderness while they travel to their grandmother's farm. The eldest, Dicey, was a mere thirteen years old girl who has to guide her three younger siblings. She was brave and full of bravado, but I knew at the same time that she was scared herself. Having to lead her younger bothers and sister hundreds of miles to Connecticut is not the least of her problems. She has to make sure that they have enough to eat, have the proper shelter, and most important, keep them away from the authorities in the fear that they might split the family up. Their strive for survival and passion to stay as a family is well written in this novel by Cynthia Voigt. The only negative criticism I can say about this book is that she went into unnecessary details about what they had left each night. Maybe their was a point to that in her mind when she wrote the novel, but I just thought that she went too in depth with a subject that had no significant to the story, as far as I can tell. It is a magnificent book that projects family values. Their determination to stick together to face different obstacles shows their great bond as a family. I would definitely recommend it to all ages. This can be read to a young child and hope they will learn something from this heartfelt novel or a grown woman can read it and appreciate life with a different perspective. Either way, it was compelling and inspiring to me as a reader.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Homecoming Review: At a mere thirteen, Dicey Tillerman is left with her three younger siblings at a small shopping center when her mom vanishes within the crowd. Dicey, her brothers, and her sister are forced to travel hundreds of miles with the threat looming overhead of being broken apart by adoption. With the genuine goodness of strangers' hearts, the Tillerman family forges blindly across the northeast United States hoping to find a relative willing to support them with a home. The journey is filled with kind souls, well-intended promises, and dark corners. Though the plot is laced with tedious patched void of any excitement, it is one that everybody should read.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Homecomming Review: This is an awesome book! There are four childern abandoned by their mother and they have nowhere to go....except their great aunt's house but they haven't talked to her forever. When they get there they find out their great aunt passed away but their cousin is not living there. She cant handle them so they have to travel to their grandmother's and she doesn't like children. The journey was hard and long and Dicey had to take care of the children the whole way. They have to earn money, find shelter, and try to stay alive and well. To find out what happened when they got there and how they handled it read the book. If ya like it read the second addition Dicey's Song.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: BOOOOOOOO! Review: This book was a required summer reading book at my school, but I thought it was very boring. Maybelle is whiny and just plain annoying. The whole thing seems unreal, and if it was a movie, I would have fallen asleep in the first 5 minutes! It was just plain bad!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: GREAT! Review: I thought this book was wonderful! I read it in 2 days, enjoying it more and more as it went on. It's about 3 abandoned kids and their love for each other that ties them together to search for their home. It wasn't easy, but as the book unfolds, you'll begin to appreciate life more and more and.... you'll also appreciate this book very much!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A pretty good book Review: When I had read the first few chapters of this book I thought it was great. But then Cynthia Voigt kept talking about what they did each night when they were going Bridgeport, it got a little boring. But then I read the rest of it and it was better.
