Summary: The Cat ate my gymsuit
Review: The Cat ate my gymsuit was definitely not the best book I've ever read, but if you want a fun read, check this book out. The book describes Marcy, a 13-year-old teenage girl, as she copes with her weight and the banning of one of her favorite teachers from her school. After reading about all the problems this girl has at home and with her self-confidence, it makes you almost frustrated and annoyed with the book. Overall, I'd say this book is okay, and definitely for kids below the age of 14.

Summary: Not the best with little zest.
Review: The Cat Ate my Gymsuit wasn't a very good book. This book didn't have a very good flow and it was very choppy. There was not enough info on who the characters were and what they were doing. It was boring with no adventure or energy. It didn't keep my attention and people can't make any connections. It doesn't go very indepth with the main character and it doesn't tell you much about the people that are mentioned. You shouldn't judge this book by its cover or title because they have nothing to do with the book. The father verbally abuses the family and that makes this a book not recommended for elementary age students. Some good points about this book were that it was an easy read and if you have time on your hands its something to read. Some people may be able to relate. This book has an unexpected ending even though it's not exciting.

Summary: This book was great right from the beginning
Review: The Cat Ate My Gymsuit, is the first of Paul Danziger writtings I have read. I found it to be very entertaining and look forward to reading more from her. It has been the best book I have ever read and by far the best one of this year at school. I highly recommend it!

Review: The issues presented in this book (difficulty in school, an abusive parent, feeling like the outsider) are as prevelent today as they were when I read this book over a decade ago. You won't believe how much you will relate to Marcy and get absorbed into her world and her daily struggles. You will literally feel what she is feeling.

Summary: Just a good book.
Review: This book had believable characters, and a good, sort of open-ended resolution (like what might happen in real life.) Some of the unhappy scenes are painfully accurate, and you can be glad for Marcy when something goes right.

Summary: Review of The Cat Ate My Gymsuit
Review: This book is about a girl named Marcy who is very shy and a little overwight. A new English teacher comes and changes Marcys life and makes Marcy feel better about herself. The teacher gets suspended from school because she doesn't want to say the pledge. Marcy and her friends go and start to fight to get her back.
I really liked this book because it was easy to understand the story. This book was well written and it was very interesting to learn about the charecters and how they started to change throughout the book and how friends became closer by fighting for what they belived in.

Summary: This book is full of funny but exiting surprises!
Review: This book is hillarious! I could read it over and over and over again! Marcy Lewis(one of the main characters) calls herself a blimp but then at the end thinks she is a helium balloon! What will she think of next? This book is a must read kind of book. It has to be my favorite!

Summary: Super Good!!!!!!!
Review: This book was awesome. It was kinda sad because she has all these problems. Her dad is really mean, and if I had a dad like that, I dont know what I would do! It was kinda uplifting in a way. I recommend this book to everybody, especially to people with social probs. Read this book!!!

Summary: Courage and Braveness
Review: This book was pretty good. It was about this teacher named Ms. Finney who came to Dwight D. Eisenhower Highschool to be the new English teacher. But then she was fired a few days later because she never said the "I Pledge Allegiance" and the parents thought she wasn't giving the students that much education. Marcy, Joel, and Nancy struggle to get this teacher back. At the end when there was a school meeting requesting this matter, they said she could comeback to be a teacher but then she refused because she wanted what was best for the students.
