Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have ever read. Review: I have to positively say that this book was a great book to read because it the first one I actually understood. I could relate to the character in it and related to her situation. This book isn't well known but it should be because the author is a terrific writer and can say the truth

Rating: Summary: It was funny! Review: I love all Paula Danziger's books besides the Amber Brown ones. Those are for 3rd and 4th graders. Come on. It described how an overweight girl can overcome obsticles and get a boyfriend and be happy. The end with Ms. Finney (not Miss Finney) is very odd.
Rating: Summary: amazing!!! Review: I love this book, it helped me through being a little over weight, but it made me feel better about myself, and I thought that if the main character could feel better about herself, i can also.
Rating: Summary: Ewwwww! Review: I read this book for school and wow is it bad! It's boring and stupid. I know it's supposed to be from the point of view of a teen girl, but it is written so choppy and ungrammattically correct that it is torturous to read. And to top that off, the story's not so great. It's kind of typical and predictable. My advice: skip this one!
Rating: Summary: Every girl who's not Ms. Popularity should read this book! Review: I read this book over fifteen years ago, and remember it as vividly as yesterday.Marcy is a well-rounded protagonist, and not just literally. However, as a teenager, she sees herself -- her self-image -- as one of her biggest problems. There is SO much more to this story than Marcy's grey sweatshirt! She is lucky enough to not only have a supportive (albeit kinda weak-willed) mother, an adoring little brother, good friends, and a teacher who teaches her about SELF-esteem. I came across this title when looking for Paula Danziger and hope to find grown-up books by her. If I *can't* find any, though, I will happily reread all the kids' books again. Absolutely delightful -- I would have done well with a Ms. Finney if I'd been so blessed.
Rating: Summary: Great Book for Plus Sized Girls Review: I read this book when I was a kid (I'm 25 now). It was the only book I ever remember reading back then where the protagonist was a larger girl, and all of the problems she went through. It was like reading about my own life. This book still sticks out in my head as being a great read about trying to fit in, and the fat girl getting the guy in the end. They should have more books like this for larger girls that feel so out of place.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I read this book when I was in High School - thought it was great then and still is! Danziger creates believable characters with realistic problems. Teenagers today may have different problems but the message is the same.
Rating: Summary: Sorry but I was expecting more.... Review: I read this book with great excitement, since I'd read there'sa bat in bunk 5, and I'd heard great stories about the book. But a CatAte My Gymsuit didn't live up to the high expectations. I reccommend Edward Bloor By The Way!
Rating: Summary: great reading for the age group Review: i remeber reading this book when i was in junior high. i loved it then and i still love it. my kid is almost old enough to read it and i will encourge it. i had the opportunity to meet ms. danziger when she came to my school and i still have the autographed copy. if you are looking for a good book for kids i recommend this one. i still love the part when her younger sister stuffs oranges into her teddy bear. that always cracks me up.
