Summary: Wow i really liked this book
Review: For me, it is hard to find a book that keeps my attention. But after finding this one, it all changed. I was hooked on this book and read it in one day. Its all about three girls, Ella, the prettiest girl around and her story about finding one hot hunk to enjoy the summer with, Beth, spending the summer with her best friend george and watching him change when she doesn't agree with it, and jamie, she fell in love the previous summer and now that its over all she wants to do it get back at him. Hailey Abbot chose a great way to write this book inorder to keep your attenting and it sure did work. I widely recomend this book with teenagers that like to hear about what life is really like to be in their shoes.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Hailey Abbott did a spectacular job with writing this story. She needs to write many more! The story of Beth and George was the best. I only wish I had a guy best friend like Beth did. They had a beautiful story. As for Ella and Jamie's story, they were fun to read too. All the girls learned something valuable that summer, and the message it sends will make you smile. Definately read this book if you're into romance.

Summary: 50/50
Review: I can't say that I didn't enjoy this book, but looking back, it's not much more than a convenient read. A true half 'n' half book, some of the ideas in this book are fantastic, and others aren't so great. Jamie and Ethan's relationship is probably the weakest point in this book, in my opinion. It's a hollow portrayal, a real shame since the complexity of this relationship could have unravelled nicely. Beth and George's relationship, however, is unique and textured; I loved reading about them. Characters other than Jaime, Beth and George didn't really hold any ground in this book, when they could have brought in interesting elements (Ethan? Cara?), but they were neglected to retain the simplicity of the book.

To credit the author, the book was fluid and was interesting to read. Unfortunately, I felt 50/50ed all the way through and the way that the Jaime/Ethan issue concluded was unsatisfying. A good part of the storyline was in relation to their issues, and there's nothing to tie it up in the end. Realistic, in that sense? Yes, maybe. Fortunately, the book (barely) managed to hold it's ground by tying up the ends nicely in the Beth/George situation (besides Cara, but I've already tackled the subject of blurred characters earlier).

Overall, an average book, but I'd say it's worth your time (maybe not your money).

Summary: The Truth
Review: I don't mean to poke fun at this book but I'm only 16 and I could have written it better myself. This is truly a terrible novel. If you are looking for something to read that has teenage romance and hookups then just buy a Gossip Girl...it's the gift that keeps on giving...#7 is coming May 2004. Don't waste your time on this pathetic portrayal of teenage life.

Summary: Book great for teens
Review: I felt this book really shows a different side of teenagers. It was very detailed and showed two sides of the characters. Summer Boys, Is a great novel just to read. Its not compliacted nor thought provoking. The book, talks about girls who have boy trouble, drama with eachotoher while their down at the beach over the summer. The way Summer Boys is written is different but at the same time interseting. One chapter is about one girl and the next is another one but the fourth chapter might start where the girl had left off in the first. It sounds complicated but it is really not. I highly recomend this book

Summary: From an older teen
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I didn't really get into in at first but then I ended up reading it in just 2 days. I really fell in love with the story I found myself reading more just to get to the next chapter about one of the girls. I loved the Beth and George story because it relates so much to my relationship with one of my best friends. I even cried with this book and I don't cry with anything. It was a touching and fun story I think it's a wonderful book for teens of all ages.

Summary: A Must Read For Teens!
Review: Summer Boys was an excellent book. It was one of those books where you just can't put it down. You can't help but get captured in the story of three girls and their experiences while returning to a summer vacation spot. Jaime, for instance, thought last summer was awesome with this guy Ethan, but this year isn't so great when their relationship is put to the test. Will they make it? It just keeps those pages turning. Summer Boys was a great book to escape back to summer, and read about the hardships of love. I definitely would recommend this to any teenage girl.

Summary: Summer Boring, I mean Boys.
Review: Sure this books a nice light read, looks cute and funny. Some may call it "hot" but seriously people this book is none of the above. Way to throw girls off with a sexy title, truly, this book is boring. It's really a pointless book that repeats itself constantly, Its all about three girls who are dateing boys, and it's not exciting at all. You really need more conflict in this book. Overall i think this book is stupid. Im sorry if you liked this book, but everyone gets to share their opinion, RIGHT?
