Review: as i said when i was review the princess diaries series i live the way this girl writes it is like you are in the head of the girl you are reading about.
at the time when i bought shadowland i had no idea that meg cabot and jenny carol were the same person. i kept getting this book reccommended to me so i bought it and it was sooo good.
this book is abouta 16(i think) year old girl that is a mediator someone who can talk to and help ghosts. when her mom falls in love and gets married she has to move to l.a. when she gets there she enters her room and see a ghost, jess to be exact, who is by the way one of the best looking ghosts she has ever mediated.she is annoyed she doesnt want to have to deal with being the new girl and a ghost. also she gets to school and sees another ghost, a girl, who is being [mean]. she is out to kill this guy and suze has to stop her. in the end suze is fine and she begins to appreciate jesses companionship.

Summary: One of the best books
Review: At the tender age of 2 Susannah Simon saw her first ghost, from then on she was a Mediator-put shes a go between, someone that helps the dead move on- now at 16 Suze has been relocated to California. Plucked from her New York home into a different world complete with new step brothers and a step dad. Her first day in her new home she yet again in comfronted with a ghost living in her room. At least hes nice unlike Heather who is haunting her new school.

I believe this book is one that you will never be able to put down. Written by the great author Jenny Carroll the book will open your eyes and mind to the thought that there are ghosts among us.

Summary: FASCINATING!!!
Review: Desperate to read a good novel this month? Well, Shadowland by Jenny Carroll(aka Meg Cabot) would be the perfect book to read when book worms or anyone have absolutely noting to do! Bring it to school or to the mall, this book is to be brought along with everywhere!
Shadowland has such a great description that it makes readers feel like they are part of the book. Fighting ghosts, bringing them to the other side is what Susannah Simmon, the main character have to deal with ever since she turned two. Many who had read this book find it so hard to put down and also read the sequels for this novel. The sequels are (in order) Shadowland, Ninth Key, Reunion, Darkest Hour, and Haunted. Hope you would read this novel... it's like...the best(including the other sequels!!!) Have fun reading!

Summary: A great new series for teens.
Review: Ever since she saw her first ghost at the age of two, Susannah Simon has been a mediator - in other words, a contact person between the living and the dead. It's her responsibility to help troubled spirits move on to the next world. And it's a responsibility she has always resented. At sixteen, Susannah just wants to be a normal teenage girl, worried about clothes and boys, not dead people. And now that her mom's remarried, she's had to leave New York City, the only home she's ever known, to move all the way to northern California. Her new stepdad's not too bad, but her three stepbrothers are a pain, and on the first day of school, she's confronted by the angry ghost of Heather, a girl who committed suicide over Christmas break. Susannah figures it won't be too hard to get Heather to move on - until it becomes clear that she's the most violent spirit Susannah has ever encountered. Heather won't rest until she gets revenge on her ex-boyfriend for breaking up with her. This is a great read for teens who enjoy supernatural-themed shows such as Charmed and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Summary: Susannah can see dead people, and it's no picnic
Review: Ever since Susannah was little she has had the power to see ghosts, the undead, dead people... and she dosen't like it one bit but she deals with it. So when she moves to live with her mother and her new step father and brothers in Sunny California she's not too happy to find a ghost haunting her room. But at least this one listens. The violent ghost, Heather, from her school is much different. In fact if Susannah can't control her someone just might end up dead, like her for instance.

Following the Sixth Sense in a now popular new trend, the mediator is a very good book. Not only is it a must for horror fans, Susannah is easy to relate to. Not only dose she have to deal with the seeing dead people syndrom she has to go through normal every-day hight school hell. I would reccomend this book, and possibly the entire series, to anyone who's a fan of teen horror novels. It''s much like Buffy crossed with the Sixth Sense. Both which happen to be favroites of mine. This is a great book and most likely a very entertaining series.

Summary: Prepare to surrender
Review: From the very first page of this wonderful new series by Jenny Carroll, the reader is hooked. Do not try to put this book down--it won't let you. Like the supernatural people who appear in its pages, _Shadowland_ weilds amazing power over those in its grasp. It is not simply that it revolves around a singularly compelling and well developed premise; what makes this book really special are the people you get to meet. Suze Simon, the protagnist, might just be the neatest teen-ager ever to walk across a page, and the crowd--alive and dead--she draws around her are interesting, witty, and very very likeable. Prepare to lose yourself to Jenny Carroll's masterful storytelling, and your heart to her wonderful characters.

Summary: i love this book
Review: I absolutly love this book. Suze is just great. She's a mediator, in other words she "sees dead people". She moves to California from New York to live with her new step-dad and step-brothers who she calls Dopey, Doc, and Sleepy which is so funny. She's a girl not afraid of kicking a little ghost butt or a little human butt to. My favorite part is when she says to a girl who called another girl a freak: "I wasn't calling you a freak," the girl said, quickly. "I'm aware of that," i said. "That's why I'm only going to break one of your fingers after school, instead of all of them." Read this book. Read it!

Summary: very refreshing story
Review: I am a sixth grade English teacher and I stumbled across Jenny Carroll when I read the Princess Diaries which is also a great book. This series is very different and I highly recommend it. I am not a big believer in ghost stories but this series is very captivating. Suzannah Simon is a terrific role model--strong-willed, bright, down-to-earth, and caring. There is some objectionable language but it serves to make the characters and story more believable. I think it is a great series for young adult girls to read!!!
