Rating: Summary: All American Girl Review: Meg Cabot writes about a young rebellious teenage girl named Samantha (Sam) Madison. She lives in Washington D.C with her parents, an older sister whose boyfriend she is so in love with and with her younger sister who is very smart. At school she gets caught selling celebrity portraits. Now she has to go to an art class where she meets the presidents son but she doesn't know. She skips the class the second time that she goes. She saves the president's life when some guy tries to shoot him. Now she gets to be the teen ambassador to the UN. She finds out that the cute guy she met in art class is the presidents's son and he has a crush on her. She judges an art contest where her sister's boyfriend expects to win. She figure's out that she likes the president's son. When she does they get together. She is happy to have found out who she really is. I liked that the book was about someone who is an ordinary person. The only thing I didn't like was that the book was hard to believe because she jumped the guy about to shoot the president. She is much smaller than him so how did she really sop him. I would recommend this book to other people because it is a fun filled adventure that was fun to read. The dialouge was believeable because Sam talked like a regular kid.
Rating: Summary: All-American Girl Review: If you have enjoyed the Princess Diaries books you will like this one too. Written by Meg Cabot, Samantha is an average girl with a popular older sister and a nerdy younger sister. All is going ok until one day she skips art class and is waiting for a ride home from her nanny and she sees a man pull out a gun........ This is where I am leaving off so, you need to read the book to find out all the details. I really enjoyed this book and I'm sure you will too.
Rating: Summary: PROBABLY MY FAVORITE BOOK Review: All-American Girl by Meg Cabot is probably one of the best books I have ever read before. It's about a girl who has a passion for art and her sister's boyfriend. As she struggles with her new art lessons, Sam decides to skip class one day and hang out at the record store near Capitol Cookies. As she steps out and waits for her house keeper to pick her up, Sam sees a man pull out a gun and aim it at the President as he enters Capitol Cookies. She saves the President's life by jumping on the assassin. Sam is later a national hero and as her family build a close relationship with the first family, she thinks she may be falling in love with David, the First Son. This is an intermediate read and I encourage teenage girls to read this book. It deserves five stars!
Rating: Summary: Sam broke her arm but became a national hero! Review: This book is about a girl named Samantha (Sam) Madison. Like most other heroines in Meg Cabot's books, Sam has something unusual and bizarre happen to her, something which happens to be a blessing in disguise. Sam saves the president of the United States from assassination by jumping on the back of the attacker. She ends up breaking her arm, but saving the life of the leader of the free world. I liked Sam's character. Sam's something of an urban rebel slash sensitive artist slash middle-child reject (her words, not mine). She dresses all in black, as she is in mourning for her generation. But I've got to say, Sam was a pretty believably character. I found her quirks really entertaining (like she's a picky eater and blushes practically all the time, being a redhead.) Overall, I give this book five stars, because it was just a whole lot of fun! :)
Rating: Summary: Cabot is a big teenager herself... Review: Which is no doubt why her Princess series and All American girl have been so successful and well liked. This book is absolutely fun, fun, fun! I enjoyed it and I am on the brink (praise the lord) of exiting my teens. This book brings back all the teen angst of a young girl trying to deal with life while attempting to come off completely sane as she does it. Will she succeed? I highly recommend this book for you if you are shopping around for a book to get a young girl. It has everything, a cute President's son, slightly nutty but caring parents, snappy dialogue, action, frustrating "I'm totally stuck" moments, and yes, even Gwen Stephani. Plus, this book is very clean so you need not worry about giving something inappropriate. Cabot is an absolute scream and if you have the time you should definitely read this book yourself!

Rating: Summary: Just Your Average American Girl, Except For A Few Things Review: This book is about a 15-year-old red-haired girl, who lives Washington, D.C., named Samantha. Sam is a middle child who's life isn't great because her older sister is the most popular girl at her high school & her younger sister is a genius. She also has a huge crush on Jack, her older sister boyfriend. She dyed all her clothes black to mourn our generation. She also has daisies over shoes, which she made with white-out. She is also is being forced to take art classes, because she was caught selling pictures of celebrities she drew. She meets a nice guy, who gives her a helmet with white-out diasies all over it. Then one day, when she was skipping art lessons she saves the President's life from a guy who was trying to kill him. Then Sam now faces her new popularity. She becomes teen ambassador to the United Nations and gets the President's son as her boyfriend.
Rating: Summary: And I thought I would hate it... Review: This book is a book every girl interested in teen love should pick up. If your fantasizing about your own love story to happen then this book is really good. I won't ruin anything but this book doesn't have an end that's a total bummer. It all works out perfectly...for all the characters in the book.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: This is one of my favorite books! I bought it at my book fair, because my friends reccomended it. I started to read it with no enthusiasm just thinking it was going to be a stupid book, but right when I opened it and read the first few lines I was pulled in. This is a must buy! I reccomend All American Girl for girls (...) Buy it on Amazon today!
Rating: Summary: meh Review: this book was cleverly written, a little shallow but overall very realistic (not the events, the emotions). but i must say the descriptions of DC are dreadful. having lived in DC my whole life, i've never been stuck in a traffic jam because of a motorcade, and haven't even heard of such a thing. reading this book i sort of got the distinct feeling that meg cabot just took a map of DC and wrote down neighborhood names..but it doesnt make alot of sense the way that she's done that. this is really irrelevant, and probably didnt annoy anyone else, but reading this book it really seems like Meg Cabot's DC experiences are very tourist-oriented, and i think it wouldve turned out better if maybe she'd like, asked DC teens or something, because this really does NOT capture the dc teen experience.
