Summary: A intriging tale of 4 kids and their handicapped teacher!
Review: I thought this intriging young tale was most excellent, being told from each side( or angle) by the kids and teacher's, and then by the writer, I thought it was delightful, and that you should read it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A really great book!
Review: Ethan, Nadia,Julian, and Noah are four sixth grade friends, with different personalities. When Nadia meets Ethan, she is not sure she likes him. And Ethan thinks Julian is weird when they first meet. But as time goes on, they become better friends. With adventures that range from a play about Annie, saving turtles, and of course tea parties at Sillington House this is a book you won't want to put down!

Summary: Excellent work by Koningsburg!
Review: THE VIEW FROM SATURDAY by E.L.Koningsburg Truly deserves it's 1997 Newbery Medel. THE VIEW FROM SATURDAY is a book about 4 sixth graders that live in Ephany,New York. They are chosen by their teacher to participate in the acadimic bowl. This is a contest in which middle school students use their knowledge in different catagories to answer questions. This sixth grade team is special because they beat all of the other teams in their school! This includes the seventh and eighth grade teams! They go on to beat many other middle schools and finally make it to the finals. If they win, they will be the first school in history to go to the championships representing Finger Lake County. They also will be the first sixth grade team to make it to the finals. However, Mrs.Koningsburg also tells you about how the team was chosen and how they become friends. This book earns it's title because it tells parts of the story from every charictor's point of view. This is a must read book for 5th - 7th graders!

Summary: An awsome book. I highly recommend it!!
Review: I read a lot, and this is one of my favorite books ever. It was confusing at first, but that made it even more fun to read. I highly recomend this book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good but confusing
Review: I liked this book, and I liked all of the author's other books, but frankly, this is a little confusing. It flips back and forth, and you're not always sure where you are or who is talking. It was well-written and the characters are smart but too undeveloped.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I don't know how to explain it, but it was just enchanting!
Review: This book was SO wonderful! I can never really exactly explain my fave books, but this is my try: Lots of people talk about how confusing it was, but that like made me like it more! At first, I thought it was a little confusing, but if you keep reading and concentrating, the author really explains it all very well, in my opinion. The reason I liked this book so much is because I would really like to have friends or a group like that. So intelligent, true-blue, proper, and just so perfect! I guess that just so many different backgrounds and how they discuss things made me like it. It had very good insight on the people's feelings. The fact that they did so well in their competitions made it exciting and made me smile.

Summary: We have a Mother Daughter book club!!
Review: "Some of us really liked it, but others didn't really like it. I think that it is a really interesting book and I like how it pulled 4 stories into one." "Number One Book!!!!!!!!!!! I liked it." " At the beginning the book was a little confusing at the end it was really interesting. Sometimes you couldn't tell who was talking."

Summary: This book feels the human touch!
Review: Terrific for kids and adults both! Thanks to the author and her creative way of writing the story(4 separate chapters, each narrarrated simultaneously by each child, then all other chapters author's narrarrative) this book makes you feel like the closest of friends with Ms. Olinski, Allen, Mr. Singh, Grandpa, Grandma Margaret Draper, Ginger, and our four heros/heroines, Ethan, Nadia, Noah, and Julian. Enjoy turtle walks with Nadia, daydreaming with Ethan, calligraphy and weddings with Noah, and tea parties at 4: 00(for tea is always at four) with future magacian Julian Singh. This book rocks!

Summary: A story of 4 kids seeking kindness.
Review: A parapalegic teacher training 4-sixth graders on their way to winning the Academic Bowl title.

Summary: This author has done better.
Review: I'm 11 and I read all the time. I love to read. But I honestly think that this book was a little abstract. I'm not saying this in offense to the author, in fact, I think that E.L. Konigsburg is a wonderful author! I loved her book "From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler". But I don't think that this book was worth it. But others might like it, YOU might like it, after all, everyone's tastes are different. This is just one opinion.
