Summary: An all-around awful "book."
Review: I consider myself to be an avid reader, and by my reading experience, I gauge this to be one awful book. It centers around four characters who are unrealistically intelligent. Noah, Ethan, Julian, and Nadia are four snotty, cynical brats that I as an intelligent human being could not relate to. Ethan was the only character whose chapter was halfway readable. From Noah's perspective, we gather that he is a smart, kind, funny, grateful, sweetheart, the kind of personality that does not exist in seventh grade boys. Julian is a limp-wristed kid, the kind that doesn't survive seventh grade. Nadia is a stuck-up, snotty, cynical snob, exactly the kind of girl that rules seventh grade. And their intelligence. What a riot. I see myself as an intelligent person, with a 26 on the ACT in seventh grade, and I don't speak or write like these four. I had no interest in the plot, I had no relation to the characters, and I had no appreciation for the writing style. Reviewers who have described this book as their favorite are obviously not well-read. Readers on this reading level should try the Redwall Series. As for the Newbery Committee, I hope they use better judgment in the future.

Summary: This was a grabbing book!!!
Review: I liked this book because it showed how totally different people are actually a lot alike. The kids were actually thinking alike but in different ways. E.L. Konigsburg described things very well and grabbed you right off.I enjoyed all of the characters and how they were described. I loved this book!!!

Summary: complicated but in an exciting way!
Review: I was previewing this book as a possible assignment for my 6th grade class at a gifted and talented middle school. I think I will give it a try. The concepts presented are worthy of introspection and I can't wait to see what my students make of it. I'd love to hear ideas for teaching this novel (from both teachers and students). Thanks!

Summary: Quite Alright
Review: To sum this book up in one word: HUH? This book was kind of, well, VERY confusing, and it really had no definition....it was kind of all over the place, and sorta strange. I really didn't understand the author's point and/or what she was trying to get across. Also, I definitely think that Mrs. Konigsburg has written far better books ("Mixed Up Files..., and others). This book about a sixth grade scholar team was way to weird, definitely for people who like kooky, different books or people who like books that need to be "percepted"

Summary: the different views make it interesting, but confusing
Review: I liked it alot, especially how all the kids were connected somehow, but I didn't really understand what they meant by helping Ms. Olinski stand, and the things Mr. Singh was talking about with her in the car after the play. Other than that, the book really had no purpose, and the little bits about how she didn't know why she picked those particular kids got annoying after a while. Also, Mr. Singh never explained how he knew that she was almost going to pick Hamilton to be on the team. Even though the book was a little confusing, and didn't really tell much of a story, I liked it. I didn't love it, just liked it.

Summary: Advice on Reading
Review: The View from Saturday is a book about four kids on a quiz boul team. It is kind of hard to understand what the author is trying to express in the beginning. You won't understand it until the end so stick it out. It is well worth your time.

Summary: This book is very interesting. You want to keep on reading.
Review: After you read a little you just don't want to stop. I liked this book for a lot of reasons. Number 1 is that 6th graders can make a difference and can beat older people. I also read The Mixed up Files and I thought it was good but I liked this book better. I liked how the author put the characters seperate first then they all came together in some way. All I'm trying to say is that this book is really good and I would recommend it.

Summary: A great book!
Review: I really don't know how else to describe it. It doesn't fit into any kind of type of book category I can think of. There's no suspense. It's just a bunch of stories linked together, and it's excellent!!

Summary: LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The sixth grade has never beaten the seventh or eighth grade till now. Julian ,Nadia ,Noah, and Ethan have recreated history at Epiphiny Middle School. E.L. Konigsburg tells a action filled story of four sixth graders and thier individial story of how they became friends. I spent most of my time reading this book but it was worth it. This book is a must read book.

Summary: One of the best Children's books...ever!
Review: This is the best children's book since The Giver by Lois Lowry. Very entertaining and funny. Recommened for older children because of vocabulary and tone. I could not put it down!
