Rating: Summary: 12 year old reader/fanatic Review: After reading The Princess Diaries, I could not wait till the next one came out. I checked the internet everyday, when The Princess Diaries 2 came out I made my dad go buy it. I read this book in two days. I think this book is better than the first one! It has a lot of forshadowing and I couldn't wait to find out what happened. I can't wait till the next one comes out
Rating: Summary: Not A Good Book Review: THIS BOOK IS SO FAKE!!!! I thought the first one was okay but I hated this one. And I think the book was not appropriate for kids.
Rating: Summary: Princess Trouble Review: If you ever thought that being a princess was easy, you were so wrong. Mia, the new Genovian princess is finally starting to get used to a princess life. You know, the usual body guard, limo, princess lessons, not to mention all the attention she gets. But this is where all the trouble begins, Grandmere plans an interview for Mia on one of the most highly rated television show in America. Mia being her usual self, loses it and ruins the whole interview. As if she didn't have enough to worry about, Mia receives mysterious letters from a secret admirer. Could it be Micheal, whom she's had a crush on forever? It just has to! Mia never learned how to deal with these problems in school, and she certainly won't be learning them from her princess lessons, what is a princess supposed to do?! This book mainly focuses on the themes of being able to cope with crisises of family, love, reputation, and friendship. And we learn lessons about these issues through Mia's reactions to these events and her mistakes. Meg Cabot was successful in depicting the life of a normal/abnormal teenage girl, in which the humor and sarcasm of Mia portrayed the interesting personality of modern day teenagers. The the book was in a diary form, so it seemed more casual and made it easier to understand almost everything you wanted to know about Mia. This is a really good book that was so funny it was hard for me to put down. It gave me a whole new insight of what it was really like to be a princess; what you had to go through. Every new page led me to more suprises and even more laughs. Ever wonder what a girl's diary was like? Read this one for more than you'll ever expect!
Rating: Summary: I Love Mia! Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! It was so great. I haven't read the first one yet, but I really like the second one. It is funny and easy to read. Mia is so natural and makes so many mistakes. She is a real person and I think that a lot of people can relate to her. Especially, teenagers. If you like to read easy books and you want to read something funny, read the princess diaries series!!!
Rating: Summary: A total blast Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!! I had read the first Princess Diaries, and it was so good I could not wait to get my hands on the second one. I thought this one was just as good as the first, if not better. Any teenager or adult can totally relate to Mia- I'm 22 year-old graduate student, and I can't remember when I have enjoyed a book more!!! If you have not read this book or the first one, do so. You will be hooked!!!
Rating: Summary: My World is Upside Down!! Review: Princess in the Spotlight is the sequel to the much loved Princess Diaries. It is the continuing saga of Mia, Princess of Genovia. The Princess Lessons are continuing, especially with an upcoming television interview with the famous journalist, Beverly Bellerieve. Mia gets some surprising news from her mother, she has a secret admirer who sends her anonymous e-mails, and her Grandmere insists on planning her mother's wedding, no matter what anyone tells her. Interspersed with all of this are the usual events guaranteed to cause angst: no bust line, everyone has a boyfriend except for her, and a secret crush on her best friend's brother. Written in journal format, this story definitely gives the reader an intimate peek into Mia's thoughts and feelings. The pages turn themselves, and it is a delight!
Rating: Summary: A Princess in Progress Review: I would definitely recommend Princess in the Spotlight to a mature reader, who can handle adult situations. Mia Thermopolis is better than ever, and so are the problems she deals with. Almost everything is going her way until her big interview on one of the hottest news shows, where she accidentally spills all of her secrets to the entire country. Now most of her friends, family, and teachers are upset or hurt by her. While caught up in princess lessons, algebra review sessions, and trying to fix the disaster she created, Mia starts getting e-mails from a secret admirer. I will leave the rest for you to find out. If you liked The Princess Diaries you will love this book. The end is not the best, but the rest of the book more than makes up for it.
Rating: Summary: Better than the first Review: Okay, the language in this book is sometimes (not always) inappropriate, and I'm young to read this book, but I can relate to some of Mia's problems. I thought that this book was awfully funny, though.
Rating: Summary: The Princess Strikes Again! Review: I loved this book!! My advice to anyone who wants to read it is... DON'T READ IT DURING YOUR FINAL EXAMS or you just might get an F in Algebra just like a certain someone! I read the first book and I really related to Mia, especially about her relationships with her grandmother and the rest of her family. I wasn't surprised that her father wasn't as terrified of his mother as Mia thought. Though the first book is better I really loved this book and would give it 5 stars anyway... The other book would get 6 stars if I could give them. This book is a must read. DON'T MISS IT!
Rating: Summary: Meg Cabot's Masterpiece! Review: All I have to say is, this book was HILARIOUS!!!!!! I don't reccomend it for children under 13 because of some mature content but it was soooo funny. Meg Cabot protray's Mia's sassy attitude and both hilarious and typical (except for the princess of a country in Europe part!) teenage life! Mia's "diary entrys" are poignant, funny, and honest. A true winner! Read it TODAY!
