Summary: It was so cool
Review: I am a total Redwall fan and I thought that it was totally cool. An evil ferret named Swartt Sixclaw got into a battle with a badger named Sunflash the Mace and Sunflash smashed Swartts Sixclaw by wacking it with his mace so Swartt vows to kill Sunflash one day. But he knows that he can't beat Sunflash unless he gets a bigger army so... well I better not give it all away so just read the book.

Summary: Outcast of Redwall
Review: THIS, is one of the BEST, I repeat, BEST, Redwall books. It is about a young ferret abandoned by his warlord father as a baby. He is found by the Redwallers, and they take him in. But, the vermin nature in him "makes" him poison a hedgehogwife, and she dies. But he meant to poison the friar! So he gets outcasted, hence, the title. It is also about a mighty badger with a golden stripe between his eyes. This mighty badger becomes the leader of the famed Long Patrol hares, and the warlord father of the outcast attacks the Long Patrol's mountain, Salamandastron. Who will win in the end? The evil ferret warlord or the mighty badger lord? Guess. Oh, if you haven't read any Redwall books, you do NOT, I repeat, NOT, know what you're missing out on! READ THEM, I BEG YOU!

Summary: About the best in the series
Review: Absolutely wonderful! Adventure, friendship, and excitement throughout the whole book. Every page has events that enthrall you. My favorite part was the battle between Sunflash and Swart-six-claw.

Summary: A fast-paced and riveting read, another Redwall classic
Review: Anyone who thinks Redwall books are for kids only are sadly mistaken. I am 28 and thoroughly enjoyed "Outcast" as well as the previous Redwall novels. Young or old, if you enjoy stories about brave and quirky little animals having great adventures, this book will stir your emotions. Sunflash the Mace is one of the most endearing and heroic characters I've come across in these books. I'll never look at badgers quite the same way. I was saddened to see the end that Veil the ferret came to. I had hoped to see him turn his life around. But in keeping with Redwall tradition, Brian Jacques knows that sometimes the happy endings carry with them a bit of bittersweetness. Plenty of action, comedy, and as always FOOD!! What Redwall novel would be complete if it didn't make one quite hungry just by reading.

Summary: Another Masterpiece
Review: Brian Jacques has done it agin, with the Outcast of Redwall. He captures the struggle between Sunflash the Mace, and Swartt Sixclaw, two sworn enemies. Also, Jacques weaves the tale of Veil, the son of Swartt, and the question is raised- will the abbey dwellers of Redwall, who adopt Veil, be able to make Veil one of them? Read the book to find out, it is excellent.

Summary: Brian Jacques Does It Again
Review: I have read all of the Redwall series, and this book one of my most favorite. Brian Jacques brings the character Sunflash the Mace alive, in his lifelong battle to slay his enemy, Swartt Sixclaw, the ferret warlord. Also, Jacques adds another chapter in Redwall history, as Veil, the son of Swartt, is the first Redwaller ever to be cast out of the Abbey. The Outcast of Redwall is a wonderful book, and Brian Jacques has done it again!

Summary: THE BEST OF THE BEST! a reveiw by Robert fowler
Review: Sunflash the mace and Swartt Sixclaw are sworn enemies. swartt becomes a warlord and sunflash becomes badger lord of Salamanderstron. swartt has a son named veil, the baby is abondend in a battle and found by Redwall abbey, but is the baby evil? thats what some think! a mousemaid named Bryony adopts Veil and raises him. he grows up and becomes an outcast df Redwall for trying to poison the friar. now Bryony and her best freind Togget are set out to bring back Veil. meanwhile, Swartt sixclaw and sunflash are in war.
this is what i call a masterpiece. outcast of Redwall tells a story revenge and evil, and yet, it shows even the most evil, can care for another. you will love this one!

Summary: A GREAT BOOK!!!!!
Review: If i were asked to tell you my favorite book it most likely be this one. You just cant put it down. I stayed up pratically the whole night reading it! It never gets dull or boring for a second. It was also the first redwall book that i read and you really dont need to read them in order to understand it. Although i could tell that they were trying to hint me in on stuff from the books that came before it. Anyway its a really good book sometime its serious other times its sad and other times its hilarious! Well this book is a really good book as far as i go.

Summary: OUTCAST!
Review: Swartt Sixclaw and Sunflash the Mace are sworn enemies. Both imprisoned by Swartt, Sunflash and the hawk Skarlath escape from Swartt, and head to Salamandastron. Their Sunflash will await the arrival of Swartt. Meanwhile, Swartt is strengthening his "horde" by befriending other Warlords and killing them from his poisoned Silver Cup. When coming close to Redwall they are attacked by the peaceful creatures and the baby Veil is dropped and taken in by the redwallers. Sunflash and Swartt finally meet and start doing battle, meanwhile, Veil is growing up in Redwall, but he does the unthinkable, poisons a redwaller, and is declared an outcast. But that does not stop the peaceful Bryony from following. Swartt flees and heads upstream followed by a heart-broken Sunflash because Skarlath has been killed. All the creatures eventually end up in the same place, and Sunflash is captured, but when trying to save Sunflash, Swartt finds out and is about to kill her when Veil interferes and saves her life, but giving up his own. Sunflash then kills Swartt and Peace is finally restored! The End

Summary: A Redwall Book That Delves Deeply Into Good and Evil
Review: This book blew me away. This book was the first Redwall book I read, and this book made me want to read the others. It does a close look at the roots of good and evil, represented physically by Veil Sixclaw and Sunflash the Mace. Looking at Sunflash, Brian Jacques shows good as trying to eliminate evil for the preservation of good, but he also goes farther than that. He also shows good as kindness to those one meets, and a willingness to live life in a simple way, taking joy in things that are "real" accomplishments, like growing and harvesting your own food, or passing out jobs to those who are the most skilled and just in that field. Brian Jacques shows evil in Veil Sixclaw as starting young, possibly existing at birth because of the evil of a parent or both parents. But, once again, Brian Jacques goes deeper than that, showing that evil is also acting selfishly, doing things just for yourself, or just for the sake of cruelty. Veil is cast out of Redwall for attempted murder, and his faithful caretaker, Bryony, always willing to see good in her surroundings, goes after him, trying to bring him to good. Veil hooks up with his father, Swarrt Sixclaw, who is the source of evil Sunflash is determined to destroy. Even when surrounded by evil, though, Veil proves that a little good might just exist in those thought to be evil. This book is great for fantasy lovers, but also for those who wish to look at a rather different view of good and evil.
