Summary: This book brings a bad name to ferrets.
Review: I simply adore ferrets and the first Redwall book I read was Salamandastron. Even though ferrets were placed as the "bad guys" it's still my favorite book. I just can't accept the way Brian Jacques has made ferrets look in this book, though. He made the Redwallers look perfect and Veil (the ferret who was brought up in the Abbey) wicked and spiteful. I think everyone should be fair to ferrets.

Summary: Just Another 5-Star Redwall Tale
Review: Sunflash the Mace, a large badger, is a whipping toy for Swartt Sixclaw, the bad guy in this story. After freeing himself and attacking his camp, the badger wanders around with kestrel Skarlath. Both are sworn enemies to each other, even after many long seasons, and it is well worth it to buy the book to find out what happens.

Sunflash is the son of Bella & grandson (or great-grandson) of Lord Brocktree.. so the Redwall Abbey was already built and running. It is weird in this story, though, because the story doesn't shift to the Abbey until the second part of the book.

If you're a fan of ANY fantasy series, young or old, you will love this book, along with the many other Redwall novels.

Summary: A really good book!
Review: This book was a really good book in the Redwall series! The characters were really cool (My favorite character was Veil-the outcast of Redwall.......but he's nice!) and the story's interesting. It really gets exciting at book two (out of three books all in The Outcast Of Redwall). The ending's ok (SAD!!!), but the message they were trying to teach (I think) I didn't really agree with. And I think Bryony is ungreatful, mean, and I can't say any more. I don't want to ruin the ending. Anyway...this book is awesome. I was so into it I was reading it while my teachers were trying to teach me at school! Well...I don't recommend that, but I do reccomend that you read this book!

Summary: One of the Best Redwall Books
Review: The Outcast of Redwall is a great book. It has a great plot and the characters are excellent.
The plot includes the Adventure of Sunflash trying to find his lifelong enemy Swart Sixclaw, the ferret. Swart's son,Veil, is also being raised at Redwall where they try to change his bad ways.
One of the characters I like was Sunflash the Mace, the badger lord of Salamandastron. I liked him because he, like all badger lords, was a strong warrior. But also, he was different because he loved to farm and liked young animals.
All Redwall fans, this is a book that I recommend. It is so exciting that you won't want to put it down.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good Book
Review: Probably one of the better books I have read. But you will have a bit more trouble following the characters than you will the other Redwall books. That was the only downside. I remember I was hoping it would never end. But it did.

Summary: the best ever
Review: Redwall Abbey has a new addition, It is a bay ferret, the son of Swartt Six Claw, his name Veil. Veil Was taken into Redwall, with the Redwallers hoping that Veil could change. One day He steals something for the Redwall head chef, of course everyone points to Veil being he is the only ferret in redwall. and ferrets have a reputation for being bad creatures. Anyway after he steals this item from the chef he eats what is in it. It goes on that the Chef does not know where it is, Bryony Veils caretaker sees Veil with the Pot and waits for Veil to ditch the pot, she takes the pot and returns it to the kitchens. Veil is mad the the Chef accused him of theft, even though he did it. So he plans a major plot to poison the chef! He sneaks Wolfbane into the Chefs favourite drink. BUT! someone else gets a hold of the drink and drinks it, but not enough to hurt her. Several of the redwallers come up with a plan to catch the evil one who tried to poison a fellow redwaller, they tell all the redwallers that the only way to clean wolfbane off your hands is a nice soak in a specil mixture (Wolfbane "Turns your hands red") the mixture was really beet juice. So they catch Veil. He is sent away from Redwall. While all of this is happening A new lord of Salamandstron is comming to Salamandstron. A little into the story The new leader of Salamandstron Sunflash the Mace fights Swartt (the creature who took him as a slave when he was young)
But there is much much more. The small details is what makes this such a great book. Every feast makes the book just that much better. All of the Redwall books are just wonderful They are must read for ages 13 and up.

Summary: Great book,fun and exciting!
Review: The evil ferret, Swartt Sixclaw has made a lifelong enemy, the legendary badger, Sunflash the Mace. Swartt had treated the young badger so bad that Sunflash and Swartt had become sworn enemies against each other when Sunflash had escaped with the help of the noble and wise kestrel, Skarlath. Swartt goes to the south to meet the fat warlord, Bowel. There, Swartt cleverly poisons Bowel, taking over the horde of the true Warlord. Swartt goes, then, to kill Sunflash.

Meanwhile, Sunflash had made lots of friends by doing justice to those who were tormented by bigger animals. His fame spread across the land as animals were freed from the evil vermin. Skarlath scouted the land, telling Sunglash of Swartt's moves. Sunflash goes to Salamandastron to claim his rightful identity: he was the son of Boar the Fighter and Bella of Brockhall.

Swartt's wife gives birth to a son but dies doing so. Swartt, showing no emotions for his dead wife , gives the son to an old nursemaid. During a battle with the inhabitants of Redwall, he leaves the son on the ground, leaving him for dead. The kind animals of Redwall takes him in, naming him Veil. Veil grows up to become bad and is cast out after he had committed an unforgivable crime: trying to poison the Friar.

Sunflash had returned to his home. He launches many attacks on Swartt's horde and wins again and again, but does not make any huge dent on the six-clawed ferret's enormous horde of vermins.
And the battle goes on as Swartt nearly kills Sunflash.

What would happen to Sunflash and Swartt? Would Veil chose to join his father's side to kill the people of Redwall and Salamandastron? Read this book to find out, though I must warn you that you just MIGHT be dissappointed.

The reason I put 4 stars was because the title did not match the book's story at all! Only the last part had talked about Veil, so the title shouldn't have really been "Te Outcast of Redwall". But this book was really fun and I really recommend you to read it!
