This is a story of a young women who was lost and must found her inner being in an adventure of love, hate, and lust. Summary: Absolutely AMAZING
Review: Garth Nix yet again creates such a book that contains absolutely amazing details.
At first this book may not be that appealing to you, but you really should continue on into the 1st chapter as the prologue is very mysterious and confusing at first so you might take it that the book wont be that good. But it is quite the opposite.
This book was made with SO much detail and was elaborately pieced together in such a wonderful framework of imagination, it is completely mind blowing. I would definately recommend this book to mostly teenagers, and those who enjoy an awsome fantasy read! I am definately sure that the conclusion of the books, Abhorsen, will be yet even better! Cant wait for that one to come out.

Summary: It Only Gets Better.
Review: Since I find most YA fantasy cheesy and formulaic, I was pleasantly surprised when I read Garth Nix' Sabriel. It was very well written with a colorful and eminently likable cast of characters that populate his imaginary lands of Ancelstierre and the Old Kingdom. What a treat for all fans of the genre that Nix' superlative tale of love, loss, and mysterious magic, begun in Sabriel, only gets better in Lirael. I was captivated from the first sentence of the book. Nix has, once again, wrought pure magic with his masterful command of the English language. We are introduced to many skillfully created new characters: Lirael, the only non - clairvoyant daughter of the Clayr, Sameth and Ellimere, the children of Touchstone and Sabriel, Hedge, an evil necromancer, and a variety of spine - tingling demons, to name a few... There are also stunning descriptions of the Clayr's Glacier, located in the Old Kingdom, and their most unconventional and surprising library. It is in their marvelous library that Lirael, as Third Assisstant Librarian, forgets her troubles and discovers the keys to her destiny - a destiny that is connected to the fate of both the Old Kingdom and Ancelstierre. But, in my opinion, the very best part of Lirael is that it has a cliff - hanger ending. For the exciting climax to the action begun in Sabriel and continued in Lirael (Who are Mogget and the Disreputable Dog? What is the Great Charter?), we must wait for the third book in the trilogy, Abhorsen, to be released. Since I am now convinced that Garth Nix is one of the most gifted writers of our time, I await it's publication eagerly.

Summary: Best Nix Book Yet!!
Review: Best book yet by fantasy writer Garth Nix. Second book is series and not the last. I've read this book over 8 times and I still love it. I can't wait for the third book, Abhorsen, to come out

Summary: Good book
Review: I liked the book a lot. I strongly recomend you read Sabreil before reading this book. Both are great books. I did not excpect the ending at all. I didn't like the way the author ended it. I guess he had in mind a sequil, that's why I gave it a 4. It was a fast read. If you've read Sabriel then I strongly urge you to read Lireal. Tell Garth Nix that he needs to get going on the sequel to Lirael, not another Seventh Tower Series book! I Highly recomend this book to fantasy lovers.

Summary: Lirael was as good as a sequal can get.
Review: 'Lirael: Daughter of the Clayr' is one of the best sequals I have ever read. Instead of making up an entirely new plot and conflict, Lirael takes from the first in the series 'Sabriel' very well. I would definitely read this book after reading Sabriel. It has some adult content (suicide, sex), so I wouldn't reccoment it to people younger than ten. Look out though, because the ending leaves you hanging for the next in the Series 'Abhorsen'.

Summary: Nix has done it again
Review: Here in the Old Kingdom, things have been peaceful till a necromancer with great power comes to destroy Sabriel and Touchstone the current King. This necromancer is planning to send people from the other side of the Wall to attack the Kingdom. Prince Sameth has come home from school and his friend Nicholas Sayre wants to come and visit him in the old Kingdom. But when the Necromancer acts first, Sameth must find Nick before he dies. In the Clayr Glacier and Clayr without the sight, ( ability to see future) has been given the task to save Nicholas also. I won't say anymore or I will ruin it. This book was awesome. I couldn't put this down! :)

Summary: Great fantasy novel for any age reader.
Review: This is excellent entertainment. Good writing, and grand storytelling. Nix's novel, Shade's Children, is fine for adolescent readers, but adults may find that it shows the author's potential better than his skill. Sabriel blew out of the water any notion that Garth Nix couldn't keep up. That novel was great, and stood well on its own. With Lirael, though we revisit Ancelstierre and The Old Kingdom, are updated on Sabriel and Touchstone, and taken in by the story of the Clayr-born Lirael. This book is enchanting. I eagerly await the third in the series: Abhorsen.
