Summary: The Hostile Hospital: A truestory of Despair and Tragedy
Review: In this, the worst( that is,the most tragic) book yet! First of all, the Baudelaires are accused murderers and running away from the police. After they join a group called V.F.D.(Vollunteers fighting disease), they travelwith them to Heimlech Hospital and pretend to be V.F.D. workers. After that, Violet is captured, the Baudelaires find out a VERY interesting tidbit of information about thier parents, and Violet almost gets her head sawed off!! This is truly a great book. Oh, and by the way, the next book(Book the 9th) is going to be called
The Carnivorous Carnival!!!!!!

Review: this series of books is next best books to Harry Potter. i don't like to read that much but when i read a good book i can't stop. Lemony Snicket writes this story about three orphans who are wanted for their fortune by an evil man Named Count Olaf. these books are great chapter books. and a great family story.

Review: A villain, three orphans, an evil plot and a hospital. Sounds like your everyday,happy-go-lucky,children-defeating-the-villain-and-live-happily-ever-after story, right? Wrong. In the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, it's the exact opposite. The main characters are: Violet,14, a marvelous inventor, Klaus,13, a reseacher and Sunny an infant who has just started walking and likes to bite. They have miserable exerience after miserable experience -- including being arrested and escaping from jail - and are now wanted as murderers. Wandering around, they find their way to Heimlich hospital. Somehow Count Olaf their former guardian and now tormentor finds them. Accompanied by his assistants and all of them in disguise. They're once again trying to get their hands on the Baudelaire fortune. Then the Baudelaires find a secret that might change their lives. They are about to grab the file on the fires wich killed their parents, destroyed their home and led them to this misfortune when Count Olaf's fashion-slave girlfriend and former guardian of the Baudelaires, Esme Squalor, captures Violet. Will Sunny and Klaus rescue Violet? The Hostile Hospital is a great book that leaves you hanging at the end of each chapter.The children are bold and adventurous characters.They allways think up solutions for thier problems. The book is extremely suspenseful and mysterious. You think that one character is good but she turns out evil; you think that the plan is one thing but you turn out wrong. The plot has all these twists and turns -- disguises,evil plots and all. It's a great book!

Review: I loved this book. It kept me reading. I loved it so much I read it in 2 days. It is for all ages. Get this book you'll love it. It has everything from fear to laughing. Go out and buy it you won't be let down.

Summary: Woe and Mystery!!!
Review: Whar else can come from the eight book of The A Series of Unfortunate Events then horrible situations for the Baudalaires? As we all know by now in the 7th book "The Vile Village the Baudalaires are accused falsely of the murder of Jacques Snicket. As their woeful lives continue the orphans join V.F.D(Voluteers Fighting Disease) at the Hemilich Hospital. There they are sent to the Library of Records to work. As we all know by now where the orphans go Count Olaf follows. This time however he can't be seen as the oprhans only know he is the head of the hospital. Just when they discover extrodainary evidence in the Library of Records on themselves Esme Squalor(now the girlfriend of Count Olaf) comes and captures Violet. It seems Count Olaf is going to do some very uneccessay surgery on poor helpless Voilet. Can Klaus and Sunny foil his plans once again? Through this book Lemony Snickey worked his magic again with his dry humor! I was also excited because he is revealing more and more on the circumstances of Beatrice's death and it seems very related to Esme Squalor. So many question are lurking that I can't wait for #9 the Carnivourous Carnival!!

Summary: A wonderful book, the best!
Review: Lemony Snicket has outdone himself again. Filled with woe and dispair and quite a few humorous parts Mr. Snicket produces yet another page-turner novel. The series is like one big chapter book each book being another installment in the big mystery he is devolping. Each book tells you some things but makes you want to read more because you have the feeling hes not telling you all of it. The Hostile Hospital is by far my favorite in the series so far. I can't wait for #9-The Carnivorus Carnival! Anyway I absolutely love them and reccomend the whole series to anyone who's sick of the ordinary "happy ending" or just wants to read some awesome books!

Review: This book rox!! It kept me intrested all the time. Lemony Snicket uses very intresting and expressive words. I would definately recommend this book to anyone!!!!!!!!! If your in a slump and can't find anything to read read the first of this series than make your way through all of them. you will not regret it!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: the dark hilarity is sustained...
Review: As a 30 year old adult reading The Series Of Unfortunate Events I find myself as excited as an 8 year old when a new volume arrives from Amazon every few months. In The Hostile Hospital the mysterious Mr Snicket manages to maintain the wonderful bleak humour from the previous books with a plot that is both delightful and ridiculous at the same time. You would think that after eight books the series might be starting to lag a bit, but not at all. Roll on number 9...

Summary: A GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Ok, this book is probably one of the best of 'em so far! I luved it, it always kept you on the edge of your seat. The main characters are, of course, Sunny, Voilet, and Klaus...and Olaf, but who cares about him. Well, they're put in the paper as Murderers, and they get busted by a shop keeper. So, they get in this van, go to the hospital, and work on papers to help them find their parents, not just to hide undercover. So, Babs, the head hauncho, is taken away, and Olaf takes over! :O Then, they're taken for vandalist becuz...well, what, you think I'm gonna' tell the rest? You read it! :D

Summary: A Book Review of Hostile Hospital
Review: I think this book should have a Newberry Honor Award! I loved this book! I could never put it down! The setting takes place in the 1800's in Helmich Hospital. The characters are Violet, a fourteen year-old inventor, Klaus a thirteen year-old who loves to read, and Sunny who's only a baby and likes to bite everything in sight. One of the unfortunate events is when a storekeeper is chasing Violet, Klaus, and Sunny around his store because he thinks that they murdered someone.This book makes you think about all the events. This is the greatest book I've ever read!
