Review: Book is a great book for all ages. It shows the controversy that one family goes through when one member thinks that what the rebels are fighting for is right and another member doesn't. it also represents the confusion of one boy that does not understand just what it is that his brother is fighting for or hopes to accomplish by fighting against an army more than twice the size of the one he is fighting in.

Summary: Krunk reveiw of My Brother Sam is Dead
Review: My Brother Sam is Dead by James Lincoln Collier is a great war novel. It is based during the Revolutinary War. Tim's brother Sam is a Rebel and his Father being a Patriot is tearing and pulling him a part. Tim is the youngest and doesn't want to chose between his brother and his father. Overall, i think this book was interesting because of the real events it mentioned in the book. Just one of the story elements in this book is Suspense.

Summary: A Super Ultra Mega Bad Review with Krunk Style
Review: I Thought that this was a very good book in the Climax of the Revolutionary War. It is about a young Tim Meeker who at first is a very normal boy in that time, but one day his brother runs away from home to join the Continental Army. So Tim is stuck with all the chores to do. I could Reflect to this because usually my sister never does any of the chores at home, so I am stuck doing all the chores. A suspenseful part in the book is when Tim and Tim's Father are Driving Cattle to a Northern City,when they are jumped by Cowboys and they are left in the Freezing Cold with Nothing.

Summary: A review by a teenage History Buff
Review: This book is about a young boy who has grown up in a Tory town all of his life. He is at the age where he begins to wonder if what his father believes is right. Then his big brother Sam leaves to fight for the continental army and Tim cant decide which side to be on. Tim decides that Sam is right because of something that happens to one of his Tory friends, but then something happens to his father to make him think that the British way is right. This book contains a great element of suspense because you can never know what is going to happen next.

Review: I read My Brother Sam is Dead by James Lincoln Collier. This book takes place during the Revolutionary War. One of the main characters is a boy named Sam. Tim has an older brother named Sam, and Sam goes to fight in the war for the Continentals. The problem is, Sam and Tim liver in a Tory town and their parents are loyal the Britain. Through out the book, different sides do different things to Tim's family or the town he lives in. This causes Tim to change the side he supports. I thought the book was interesting. It ties in things that actually happened during the war. Towards the end of the book, it gets some what graphic.

Review: The story was set during the revolutionary war . Sam,a 16 year old boy, was a rebel . He always wore a minute man uniform.Sam's brother Timmothy ,a few years younger than Sam,was a farm boy.Timmothy tries to help Sam when he gets into trouble.The problem in the story was the minute men fighting the lobster backs or the red coats The most exciting part of the story is the part is when the cowboys try to steal Timmothy's cattle.The story end when Sam is executed for stealing cattle which he didn't do.This is a good book with a sad ending.

Review: I read this book in fifth grade and had to do a book report on it...I liked the beginning until it got really gorry.....Heads were getting chopped off....I new it would be sad but not that sad!! THIS BOOK IS NOT GOOD FOR CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER!!! I hope my review is helpfull to you!!

Summary: My Brother Sam is Gorry
Review: In the school year, my teacher made us read my brother sam is dead. I knew it would be sad, but I didn't think it would be as gorry as it was. Chapters 1-8 are pretty good, but Chapters 9 & on were far from it. There is a part where a slave dies and his head falls off. This book also uses a lot of curse words, and that is not good to put in a children's book. Also, when you buy this book, expect to be depressed afterwards. I read the book and that night, I cried and my mom and dad asked what was wrong. They did not think that a book could be that depressing. For some much better literature on wars, (and if you are a girl) get the american girls series with addy. Or, check out documentary books. But what ever you do DON'T READ THE BOOK IF YOU DON"T LIKE THE IDEA OF PEOPLE DYING AND GROSS STUFF!!

Review: My Brother Sam Is Dead By James Liccoln Collier and Christopher Collier was the best and most exciting book I have ever read.I felt like I was the little boy Tim in the biggest crises you will ever run into. He is trying to save his brother Sam from being a P.O.W. Sam is very young so that is all that Tim is really got. Tim's dad can not live with him self without Sam by his side, So the father is trying to rescue him. This was a very long time ago so it was a very crazy world. This is the best book I have ever read, I have read it over and over because I feel like I am in the book every time I read it. If you would enjoy a good War book i recomend My Brother Sam Is Dead.
