Summary: A very depressing book.
Review: I thought it was a very depressing book. It was confussing and the ending did not tie it together like I would of thought. I had to read it for school and I know two other people that agree with me. It would be a good book if I could understand the point of it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent
Review: I got my summer reading list for school, took one look at it and figured it would be the same horrible, boring stories that are usually on it :) I decided to read "I am the Cheese" because of other comments that i read on Amazon.com curious to see if my own reaction would be the same as the many positive ones i had read. When i finished the book i thought it was incredible, i could easily say it was one of the best books i've read in a long time.

Summary: Take a Terrifying Trip Down Memory Lane
Review: Robert Cormier's "I Am The Cheese" is a harrowing, riveting, and mind-boggling psychological thriller about a 14-year-old boy in search of his missing father while, at the same time, bicycling down memory lane consisting of a series of events leading to his present trek. The book is divided into three parts between the past, the present, and a series of interviews. This can be a little confusing for some readers not used to the back-and-forth transitions as depicted in the book. It takes a while to build up, and the ending comes as a complete surprise. The author keeps readers guessing as to the protagonist's present and future demise, as well as his bizzare past. Nonetheless, it is a well-told, well-written story, and I would recommend it to those interested in complex psychological thrillers.

Summary: A truly terrific thriller, though hard to understand.
Review: I have read the book I AM THE CHEESE six times and still do not understand the ending. Yet this book inspired a heartbreaking story of my own writing, and am I ever grateful to Robert Cormier. Adam Farmer is slowly remembering his horrifying past as he tries to discover who he is, and who he was, and who he wants to be.

Summary: A Most Curious -- and Unconventional -- Mystery Novel
Review: Bravo to Robert Cormier for creating a mystery that focuses on the curiosities of the human soul and the illusion of reality rather than rotting cadavers and cyanide tablets dropped into cups of tea! As a future English teacher of California, I highly reccomend!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Truly a book ready to grasp ones attention..
Review: I had to read this book in my year 9 english class two years ago...Ever since it has remained my all time favourite book to read. I am the cheese is writted in three different personas' that the outcome of the book, is an outcome that is not expected.

Summary: great book!suspense filled!surprise ending!
Review: this book is awesome!it keeps you wondering about whats real and what is fantasy until the very end when everything is tied together, yet stillno clear cut ending-multiple possibilities.i had to read through the ending 4 times. i recommend this book to anyone who likes psychological thrillers.

Summary: Weird!
Review: I read this book and my first thought was "Hmmm....." I read this while I was in the 5th grade (last year) and I got in trouble for reading it during class. Oops. Hehe. Anyway, it was funny. Weird funny. If you like this book you should read The Music of Dolphins by Karen Hesse. I think thats the right name and title. They both are...... different. I give it a 6 cause it's just a bit hard to understand. **WARNING** This is not a poem book! That's what I first thought it was.

Summary: A splendid piece of literature to teach.
Review: As an English teacher, I truly appreciate the ability to analyze the main character, Adam, from both the first and third person points of view. The world that is real and that which is fantasy mesh to leave the reader wondering the ultimate outcome. Is Adam's perception the reality or do we learn the "real" truth through the author's observations? In reality, Cormier leaves us to wonder on purpose - much the same way life leaves us no easy solutions. Some times there just isn't an answer!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Gut wrenching story of adolescent feelings of powerlessness
Review: Excellent mystery! Needs to be read carefully to fully grasp the clues throughout as a young boy slowly relives horrifying circumstances in his life. Beware that what is real is fantasy and what is seems imaginary is real. Had to reread the ending three times to fully grasp the fate of this suffering boy. Easy to read but difficult concepts for those who enjoy really delving into a story's meaning.
