Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Generally boring and uneventful til the end. Review: This book is useless, boring, and horibly written. It is a total waste of one's time. Robert Cromier is gonna' get it. I thought the WINDOWS manual was much more interresting. This book deserves a shallow grave in a bottom-less pit.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This book was not as appealing as i thought it would be!!!!! Review: I really really really disliked this book!!! It was very crazy and weird!!! There were too many things going on at once and there were too many different settings(three)!!! The main character was CRAZY!!! He was telling three different stories at one time!!! He had absolutly no idea what he was talking about!!! His father testified against some people who were in trouble with the government and his life changed. His name changed and so did everything else. You can't keep track of what is going on in the book!!! One minute he will be talking about his childhood and the next minute the will be talking about his trip to go find his father!!! You think he is talking to a psychiatrist but there is no way you can be sure!!! You have to read almost everything twice!!! It's not divide into chapters which makes things even more confusing. If you are thinking about reading this book DON'T!!! I give this book two thumbs DOWN!!!! If you have a different opinion keep it to yourself!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This was a wonderful book. Review: I am the Cheese is a wonderful book about a boy who lives in a sanitarium. The boy is about 15 and every day he pretends he is on his bike riding to Rutterberg, VT to find his dad. I am the cheese is a very emotional, sad book but I would reccomend it to anyone. The times where he was riding his bike made me feel like I was on a great adventure looking for my father. the times where he was telling the story mkade me feel like him and I was having fun. The times when he was talking to the doctor Made me feel sad and alone. I guess that what I learned is that you have to get on with your life and not dwell on the bad things that happen. At the end Adam was feeling alone in the world but he starts tok try to get on with his life
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Quite an amazing story Review: I first read I am the Cheese when I was only twelve years old. Now, I am a graduate student studying literature and literary theory. I used the book in a composition class that I taught to freshmen last fall; the entire class loved it. I feel that I am the Cheese is a perfect book for young adults, as it probes Adam's identity quest so well. I remember a strong feeling of empathy when I read the book; the same feeling I got when I first read the Catcher in the Rye. Corimer's three-part narrative is as eerie as it is intriguing, and I think that touch is one of the many reasons the book is so absorbing. He handles everything a teenager feels, from the pangs of first love to the heartbreak of shattered innocence. I'd recommend it to both new readers and to teachers who are seeking a good text to use in class.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: disturbing, thrilling, you'll never want to put it down!! Review: Written in a unique fashion, Robert Cormier provides a disturbing look at the "What ifs". This book is about a boy and his family who are on the run, where you can't trust anyone. As the plot thickens, pieces of the puzzle are filled in. This is an awesome book, and I recommend it to anyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Strange...and yet... Review: Well, it took a lot of help, but I finally understand the details of this book. And I must say it is one of my favorites. I read it at least once a week, and never get tired of it. Feel free to email me if you need help understanding it. Some people may dislike the ending, but think about it. Robert Cormier had no choice. There is no realistic happy ending for a book like I am the Cheese. The ending is like an explosion, a fist in the face, but now that I think about it, it couldn't have happened any other way. The book, I think, serves as a warning. What DOES happen to the children of witnesses that get killed? Are there really institutions as horrible as that one to keep these children? And does the government really do to those kids what they did to Adam? I think they do.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: i don't get it Review: i just finished reading i am the cheese for my lit. class (i'm in 9th grade) and i am left with a weird, hanging feeling. i don't get the conclusion and i'm so confused about... the whole book. but i liked what i understood, and, i guess it was ok... but the confusion gives me a headache.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very hard to follow, but worth your time. Review: I read this book when I was a junior in high school and thought it was eerily wonderful. Adam Farmer is trying to make heads or tails out of his life and is having a hard time doing so. This story will suck you in and not let go until the unbelievable ending. No matter what style fiction you enjoy, this book will keep you enthralled.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book was phat. Know what mean? Absolutely riveting. Review: There is nothing to say. Everyone looking at these reviews probably read the book, so you know how great it was. Everytime I talk about this book with someone else, I learn new things about it. That makes me like it even more. Absitively, posilutely just a great freaky novel.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Definitely Worth Your Time Review: I Am The Cheese is my favorite book written by Robert Cormier. He is an excellent author who always writes from a very realistic point of view, and I Am The Cheese is no exception. The story was confusing, but that's what makes it so great. The intricate details that you must pick up along the way to understand hold your attention and keep you 'on your toes'. The story of Adam Farmer and the way that Cormier uses the song The Farmer in the Dell is a brilliant idea. I reccommend this novel to anybody, and even though I am in 10th grade, I'm sure that students in junior high would still be able to grasp some of the meaning, and the lesson that Robert Cormier is trying to teach all of us about ourselves.
