Summary: The Cheese Stands Alone
Review: Robert Cormier did an excellent job writing this book. The book was absolutely riveting. I personally loved it. The three stories that he put together to help understand one whole story was great. I especially liked how the title tied in with the book. The only part of the book that I found a bit confusing was who actually was the "pyschiatrist" and what did the 2nd to last chapter mean? (the one with all the numbers and writing). If anyone can answer these questions for me, please email me. All in all though, it was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to any mature young adults who like books that actually make you think.

Summary: I Am the Cheese
Review: "I Am the Cheese" is a strange but cool exploration of the mentally ill. It keeps you guessing and begins to wrap you up with theory, wondering what will happen next and what the reality behind the secrets are. Robert Cormier can be wierd, but he is defintely a talented author.

Summary: An excellent book
Review: This is a story of a young man on a journey to find his father and his past, which if he knows could cost him his life. I loved the book. It was so suspenceful I couldn't put it down. Although, at at times it was hard to follow and understand. This book is best for teens who can read well and act mature. The way the author describes some things could only be taken in seriously by a mature mind, which is why I wouldn't recommend this to a teacher to read aloud to a class. But overall this book is great and I think you really would enjoy it.

Summary: The Greatest Book With Mystery!
Review: I read this book with my advanced reading class and it was wonderful. We should give credit to Robert Cormier for his talent which he uses very well. A bit confusing but is quickly understood after the whole book is read. Thanks!

Summary: Possibly the Greatest Book I've Ever Read...
Review: This is one of the most complex books I've ever read, next to the book Flowers For Algernon. This book tels how the government is still not as powerful as they think they are. It also shows an alternate side to the human nature when pursued. I am very interested in psychology and this book is a good example of how complex the human mind is. Espionage is esentialy a form of psychology, so this book is an excellent thriller and mind boggler for those who like those kinds of stories.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very in depth of how the government works, manipulation
Review: Very very good. tells of human pshychiatrics, espionage , and how a fourteen year old boy copes with the wittness protection program and all its secrets. also has some reference to psychiatry and human thoughts.

Summary: good book, rather confusing
Review: The book was great, and and i love how the title ties in with the story. I got really confused though, near the end. I understood about his bike journey, but did the hotel exsist? What about Amy Hertz? That was quite strange. Otherwise, it was great. I would read it, just because its great.

Summary: GREAT READ!!
Review: In 7th grade, my teacher read this to us (we didn't have enough copies to hand out, and it was his favorite). It was GREAT!!! Some other commenters have said it was confusing. I didn't find it so. I even got the title. The cheese stands alone, the cheese stands alone. High-ho the merrie-o, the cheese stands alone.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It is written well, but I wish that it was longer.
Review: The book is great! I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to other readers. However, if you do not like to be kept in suspense, then do not touch this book! It kept me on my toes the whole time that I was reading it (and also in between reading sessions). The only problem that I had with the book is that it isn't long enough, it leaves too many questions unanswered, and it doesn't explain what happens to Amy's family (why would the newspapper man leave his newspapper?). Anyway, I would like to point some confused people, who do not know what to read right now, to this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Confusing
Review: I Am the Cheese was good, but it was somewhat confusing. I put off reading it for a while becuase of the title. It was too strange. But I don't get I AM the CHEESE. What does cheese have to do with Adam/Paul? Also what did the "T" and "A" stand for? I know "T" was the doctor and "A" was Adam/Paul. And what about Amy Hertz? And that motel? So Amy Hertz never existed at all? No wonder the kid's in an insane asylum or wherever he is.
