Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Interesting characters, unusal plot.
Review: Pullmans' other books were great, but this trioligy is spectacular! The way he leaves you hanging and the way he finishes the story really make you want to read more about Lyra, her friends, the daemons and all the rest of her strange friends.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is filled with wonder and fantasy
Review: I read this book and couldn't keep my eyes off of it.As it leads you into Lyra Silvertongue world of armored bears, breathless humans, and other creative fantasy creatures as Lyra goes to the north in search of kids who were kidnapped for scientific purposses. As she does it she gets help from her daemon Pantailamon, a daemon is a animal form wich when young can morph to anything its mind can think of and is connected very closely to a soul of its own. As she is searching she also has a goal to rescue her father Lord Asriel from a race of armored bears...Now I am hoping to get The Subtle Knife the sequel of The Golden Compass.

Summary: I can't put it down!!!
Review: I am still in the middle of reading this book but I am already into it...actually I was in the first chapter. My favorite thing about it was that it started with action, and the action is still coming, Mr. Pullman didn't start giving a full background (I don't really like that it gets boring fast for me). I can't wait to finish this book and start on the next one, I just wish that I had more time to just sit down and read it all now!

Summary: This book was great!!
Review: I first recieved the Golden Compass as a gift from my grandfather. It sat on my shelf until a good friend of mine told me how much he enjoyed it. He was right! It was easily one of the best well written books Ive ever read!! Definitely worth 5 stars!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A compelling book on the border between fiction and fantasy
Review: A book that, from the first page, became one of my favourites. The tale of Lyra, a young girl from a Oxford England in a time parallel to ours, and her quest to find her father and about the experimentation on children, Dust and daemonds. A search that can relate to our own search to find ourselves.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It brought me into another world!
Review: This book brough me into a world of fantasy and adventure. I love his charecters because unlike most authors he made his charectes have good and bad qualities. Either way it was my idea of fantasy. I recomend it to anyone and everyone.

Summary: My Favorite Book
Review: The Golden Compass was, overall, simply wonderful! It left me on the edge of my seat at times and I was always looking forward to the next page. The plot was very unique and enrapturing. I have told many people about the Golden Compass and I have encouraged them to read it. Of course, they all loved it, too! I can't wait until the third book in the trilogy comes out.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderful book, but what a cliffhanger!
Review: I simply loved this book and its sequel The Subtle Knife. However I hate the way the author leaves us hanging at the end of books. I can't wait for the finale!

(I'm not going to write a summary of the book, there are enough of those already!)

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It provokes much thought and interest.
Review: This is a great fantasy novel that gets you thinking and plays with your imagination. I'm sure you will enjoy it greatly.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Love it.
Review: I love this book! But I went crazy when, like after hours of reading such a long book, I came upon the end: End of Book 1. Augh! I went crazy! Then the Suble Knife: End of Book 2. I didn't know til then that it was a trilogy! And of course, where is the last book? It's not published yet! Mr. Pullman, if you, by chance, are reading this. PLEASE finish it! I'm going crazy, and so are many of my friends. It is SUCH a good trilogy, the only problem is...IT'S NOT FINISHED! AUGH!
