Review: This book is a classic and the one of the best I ever read. Pullman created a plot and story line like no other and made so the reader refused to put the book down (or at least that was what it was like for me). Read this book then read the sequels because in this book you will find delightful adventure and suspence at every turn and endless suprises that are sure to delight you.

Review: I am not writing a review on this book, but I am tleling all who are reading this that Nothern Lights, By Phillip Pullman ("The Golden Compass") Is a book that must be read by all, the language, the imagination, the wildness and thrill that occurs in this book is overwhelming! I am only 11 Years Old, but this book is definately a "Must-Read" I am also from Sydney, Australia.

Review: After my friend read this book she said that it was my type of book, so I gave it a try. I simply spent all my time on spring vacation reading this book. I couldn't put it down. It took me just a few days to finish it and since then, I can read a huge book in one day! I can't wait for the third book!

Review: I received this book a while ago as a Christmas present, and I found it boring. I picked it up a few months ago and began reading. I loved it! I think this book takes a certain amount of maturity to read, but when you can understand it, it is fascinating! I read the sequel and am currently on backorder for the third book in the trilogy. A definite must-read!

Review: I enjoyed this book immensely, it kept me turning pages through-out. Not a single dull moment. I especially enjoyed the main character, Lyra, and her deamon, Pantalaimon. They were both interesting and endearing.

Review: The Golden Compass was definitely on of the best books I have ever read. Very well done in every aspect. Lyra is an ideal heroine, she is extremely mature and determined. How it ends leaves you yearning for the next book, which was equally well done. I have shared this with all of my friends and those that have understood it loved it. I lent it to my school librarian and she's ordering all three of the books in this series. Philip Pullman is an outsanding author and I'm looking forward to his next work, The Amber Spyglass. This book is a must read for everyone.

Review: This book gave me the chills! I could not put it down. I am 13 years old an books like this amaze me. I read lots and have since grade 4. This book has been for sure one of the top three books I have ever read! Now that is a great complement considering that I have read all the books from the Dragon Riders of Pern series, many series from the author Mercedes Lackey and these are no small books. The character of Lera, pulls you right into the story and tends to, like to hold on to you. The suspence in some parts leaves you feeling like you are hanging over a cliff and your heart seems to skip a beat!
